Keep in mind this guy is the kind of "intellectual" that you find in the internet right wing community. There's no rigor involved in his thought process. I used to watch this guy so I know he has a degree in finance so he knows a little about finance and economics and he apparently got a 3.9 or something in his degree while working full time and he later worked at Wells-fargo and a credit union or something but he seems to think that these experiences give him sage like wisdom on every topic under the sun. I think opining about a given topic without really knowing anything about it is intellectually dishonest; you should at least try to understand something before you disagree with it. If you don't want to sound like this guy then the next time some leftist brings up something you disagree with make sure you've actually researched the subject before hand if you want to argue with them.
