It's the little failures in life that are the most depressing. I try to shave; I try to get that perfect smooth, hair-free look. I watch countless YouTube videos, read dozens of forum posts; I never had anyone that showed me how to do it, never met my father. If I, in all my NEETdom, can have the luxury of taking thirty plus minutes to shave, not including the mandatory bath that comes with it, and still not do it perfectly? Then how the fuck would I be able to shave perfectly with a job or school to go to? How do people do it? And that doesn't even include everything else that comes with leaving your house every day, like planning meals. I CAN'T FUCKING LATHER WORTH SHIT. FUCK.
>>
>>25180988
same here, it always leaves me with bumps and redness. so I use the beard trimmer on my electric razor which leaves me with short stubble. I have no idea if this would be acceptable for say a job interview though.

Normal people don't need to be taught how to shave you autist, you're literally just a failure.
And get a real fucking razor, you spergetastic fucklord.
>>
>>25181071
I've heard people say that stubble on the face gives off an "alcoholic" look to older, middle-aged and over people that work careers in law, finance, etc., but for entry level jobs it's probably not a big deal.

When I get too angry trying to lather with soap and a brush, I switch to the canned stuff. I get razor burn right at the bottom of my neck.
>>
>>25181216
>And get a real fucking razor, you spergetastic fucklord.
Waste money, generate more plastic waste, and get even worse razor burn? No thanks.
>>
double edge razors are fine. all that brush and lather shit is ridiculous, it's fucking lather, how much of difference can it really make...?

So, do you use a foam? Pic related seems to work fine, in all honesty.
>>
>>25181363
i buy the cheapest bullshit foam at cvs

the brush and lather stuff is interesting because it's old fashioned, but it's just too annoying and i can't be bothered anymore. it really doesn't make any difference anyway, it's lather, the thing to worry about is the razor, not the goddamn lather.
>>
>>25181216
There's no reason to waste your money on disposables when you can get a box of 100 safety razor blades for $6. It's also less aggravating for your skin to shave with a safety razor.
>>
>>25181262
>more concerned about the environment than getting a clean shave
I get you're autistic but don't be stupid.

First, use the beard trimmer to get the facial hair down to a stubble. Then go over it with the straight razor.
>>
Just get Gillette Razors and foam. If you skin is bitchy like girl you are then get gel based shit. Or use regular soap. After few saves you will grow up and your bitch of a skin won't react anymore. Man the fuck up. Use warn water before shaving and cold after to was your face. Takes 3 minutes and you are done

>Gillete kike gimmick shaving toy
>a real fucking razor

Wow

Your Gillete pro fusion alovera/viagra stripped 10 blade gimballed piece of shit is a waste of money. You have to buy a pack of 5 razors that was stamped out of the lowest grade steel in China for 5c per unit and sold to you for $30. You're the dumbest piece of shit for getting kiked so hard and believing their marketting and product gimmicks. You need a razor with a fucking ball gimball on it? Don't you have a fucking wrist?

All you need is a double-edged saftey razor, its simple, reliable and its cheap as fuck, you could buy a pack of 200 razorblades for a few bucks on ebay and you will never run out.

>>25180988
if its shaving soap you get your brush, make it wet, run the brush in circles in the soap to get some on the brush, then use the lid to foam it up, then slap it on your stupid face. What exactly are you doing wrong?

Also consider shaving in the shower with a small mirror. Its faster, you shoudn't need 30 minutes to bathe and shave.

Holy shit some of you manage to turn simple shaving into full blown orchestra.

>mandatory army service
>shittiest razor money can buy
>had to use soap
>first week everyone looked like they falled into aids bowl face first
>2 weeks later the shave is clean and smooth

Even when I got home I didn't use fancy razor. If your shaving kit costs over 10 dollars you need to kill yourself.

The correct answer is to grow a proper beard and to stop giving a shit about shaving. Throw some beard oil in it every now and then and forget about it until it starts getting in the way of eating. Then trim a bit off.

Girls who like beards will comment on your beard as a means of showing interest.

If you can only grow a neckbeard then bad luck.
>>
lol you dumb cunt, badger-hair brushes and that kind of cream is for people who know what the fuck they are doing.

Get your ass to a Wal-Mart, buy this shit called "Barbasol thick and rich shaving cream." I imagine there will also be packs of disposable razor blades, yes disposable, you have no idea how to use a proper razor, or god forbid you tried to use a straight razor.

If you only have some scraggly mess that doesn't extend far from the surface of your skin, you can start by patting some hot (not scalding, but hotter than warm) water over your face. Then apply the shaving cream in a modest layer across the facial hair you want to remove. Start from the top and work your way down, WITH THE GRAIN of your face. When you start shaving your disgusting neck, you can go against the grain after making a pass going with it, but be gentler on the against pass.

It takes a little pressure to get it right, but don't jam the razor into your skin. Make sure that little colored bar of sandy stuff right above the razors is contact the skin as gently as possible.

It really is not a difficult process.

I sleep on my side too. Once you get through the itchy phase it stops being annoying.

Go camping or traveling for a bit and just don't shave. The discomfort and new experiences will distract you from your beard.

I do a safety razor as illustrated in OPs pic. It's great but you DO need to pay attention to what soap you use.

i've tried quite a few and the best is Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap.
>>
>>25181657
>What exactly are you doing wrong?
I actually only learned today that you're supposed to get your brush coated with soap and then start to create a lather in a SEPARATE bowl. Before I was lathering right on the soap, which worked quite well, though was wasteful. So, just trying to do it the "proper" way today was quite frustrating. Once I got the lather onto my face and tried to work it in, the circular motion just seemed to thin it. I could only get a thick lather by using my hand to put it on, since the brush literally brushed it away.

If i pull 60 octillion blades out of my asshole and gave them to you for free it wouldn't fucking matter because they don't fucking work you God damn cheap ass jew fuck.

I used to love shaving with a safety razor, but problem is I would have to wait ~4 days before I could shave again with it, or else I would be in bleed city.

With a mach-3 I can generally go at ~2 days.

Normal people had to start shaving when they were like 15, every day. They fucked it up constantly and got cuts all over their face and hated it but they did it anyway to look presentable at school. Continued when they got a job or went to college. So basically a 25 year old normies has been shaving every day for 10 years. He's mastered it just by experience and repitition. He didn't need to be taught, he didn't need a guide. He learned how to shave HIS face, how to adjust to his face's quirks and form, how to do it right.

You can read all the guides you want, that doesn't give you 10 years of experience doing something. There are too many things that words alone can't teach you. The different between robots and normies like always is that normies live their lives, robots think about living, read about living. There's no substitution for actually doing.
>>
>>25182210
Try out Feather blades, my man. They're from Japan, so are folded over 7000 times, and they're also the sharpest blade on the market. I just find that they last a lot longer due to their sharpness.
>>
>>25182379
>The different between robots and normies like always is that normies live their lives, robots think about living, read about living.
Damn. You don't know how many examples I could think of from my "life" that would work here. It's terrible.
>>
>>25180988
Use an electric razor before bed
Shave with blade in the morning in the shower, use a anti-fog mirror
Once a week, wet down in the shower, cover body in Nair, trim nails, brush teeth, then shower off, use a Lufa to get all the hair off, nice smooth skin, use a razor to clean up any strays
Twine a month to the barbershop to keep the flattop looking sharp, nose, eyebrows and ear hair trimmed up
How hard is it, about 10-15 minutes a day
>>
>>25182447
I'll try feathers when I'm done with my personnas. Need to get gud so I don't shave my face off.
>>
>>25182749
Remember: no pressure. Let the razor do the work.
