Who /didn't buy any christmas presents/ here?
Last year I decided to craft all my presents by hand, to save money and not contribute to consumerism. Result was really shitty presents a first grader would have made for mother's day.
So this year I bought stuff, and it costed me more than I get in a month.
I wrote 3 christmas cards today but my mom won't get any presents i hate her

Is it something uncommon ? I never buy nor receive any christmas presents. Usually I get some money from my parents that I waste on building a PC that I don't even use cause vidya became extremely boring for me a long time ago.

I don't have that kind of relationship with my family + me/my family poor as fuck anyway. I don't have any friends who to give anything. Can't remember when exactly I last got christmas presents, maybe 4-5 years ago.
I've been working my fingers to nubs making gifts.
So far I made three T-shirts, a refurbished mirror with planters that can store aloe/cacti/succulents, or just candles, an acrylic portrait of some goofy WoW characters, still making headway on a watercolor book for a new baby.
I did buy for mom- amerillis bulb, and for dad- Black Mesa (I hope he likes it, didn't care for New Vegas last year so I felt like a dumb cunt, but he really liked Half Life so maybe I did good)

I didn't get them anything last year.
Let's see, I bought a nice necklace for my gf, a box of chocolates for my grandma, a drone for my younger brother, a Chromecast for my dad, a pair of wireless headphones for my mom, a pack of beer for my roommate and a few dozen giftcards for friends.
Pretty average this year, last year I spent more but the sales this year haven't been as good.

There were some good deals. Got a couple of cheap tablets for ~$40 (one for my dad) also got a cheap little drone for ~$25.
Bought my gf (and myself) a trip with a nice hotel room.
