There are other things that deserve to be experienced.
I think people underestimate the effects of having too much free time.
Wagecucks are just too busy to ponder about life and the like, and this gives them a chance to be happy despite having a repetitive slave life. It's inertia. Medieval peasants in their illiteracy, overwork and short life likely weren't as bothered as NEETs. Inertia.
NEETs, with too much free time on their hands, get depressed because they have too much time to think and be self aware of their position, which as a consequence makes them miserable.
