A lot of weight loss has to do with diet. The sticky in /fit/ really explains it quite well.

As long as the food you consume gives you less energy than your body expends, your body will expend fat as an energy source.

Don't take it too far though. Beyond a 500 calorie deficit your body begins to use things like muscle for energy and your body will likely lower its metabolism to compensate.

Stuff like lifting and cardio can help you lose fat as well but really just factor into the metabolic equation. Should still do them though, they have great health benefits and lifting largely determines whether you'll be 140 pounds of lean sexy muscle or gross flabby loser.


tl;dr diet largely influences your body composition in terms of losing fat.

I'm a bit jelly of men because they don't usually get massive arms and thighs that end up with loose skin and if they do, they can bulk up with muscle a bit more than a woman. Fuck no, I have to literally force myself to eat enough vegetables and lean meat to the point where I couldn't stomach the idea of eating anything afterwards and I still get hungry all the time. Although that's a lot better than what it was because my body is getting used to it.
I just got sick of being fat ( i still am )

It's very hard lad. I'm quite lucky because I can normally get up early enough to go the gym before all the normies get there.

There many reputable studies verifying that eating at a caloric deficit causes you to lose weight, whereas you've linked one dubious claim on a website geared focused on pushing a high-fat diet.

If you're losing weight while eating fatty shit that's great, but you've probably just unconsciously started eating less calories.

I haven't started eating less calories m8. It's also proven that a LCHF diet lowers LDL, triglycerids insulin resistance and other stuff.
Carbs trigger insulin release, and insulin prevents fat from being burned.
