I distinctly remember not wanting to kill him, and taking measures to not cause him any lethal harm. I just wanted to fuck his shit up and vent all of the frustration and lack of control I was feeling in every other aspect of my life. After the booking I was ordered to leave the military base, (I was living there since I had just been discharged from the Marine Corps) and given 15 minutes to pack a few things and drive off. I was homeless and crashed on a few couches until I found an apartment that would take me in. From there, I was taken to court for assault (not aggravated assault, not attempted murder, not assault with a deadly weapon, just assault because I'm a white woman and I am invincible in a court of law). After hearing my story (which I shortened considerably in my post)- they gave me a year of probation, mandatory mental health care indefinitely, assigned me to a forensic psychiatrist, placed me under supervision so I could not leave the area, and fined me $200. I could have potentially gone to jail for 10 years and been fined $5000, but my lawyer was hot shit and again, women are not prosecuted fairly. I feel like I deserved a lot worse.
I haven't attacked anyone since that incident and after ~6 years of therapy I've developed empathy and guilt for what I've done. The constant self-hatred, guilt and shame for my actions seems to be a fitting punishment for my behavior. My victims got physical scars, I got mental ones. Whoopee.

So, I can't recognize people by their faces. This led up to an unfortunate mix up. I had a crush on one guy I met at a 4chan meet up, and him and another guy used similar IRC names.
