It depends I suppose. I feel anxious constantly all the time, and it stops me doing even the most simple things. If I want to play some vidya there is something stopping me but I can't really explain what. Leaving the house can be hard though I have a job, and a stomach churning feeling of dread is pretty much always with me.
I don't really have it socially too bad though, once I am with someone I can usually talk to them just fine. If it's a crowd it's a different story but everyone feels shit in a crowd so that doesn't count. Most people would be surprised if I told them all the anxiety shit I go through.

Petty much always been one, I have memories of it as early as primary school (and possibly playschool when I was like 3, I'm not really sure if it counts). Got incrementally worse a I got more freedom over my life and therefore no longer "had" to be in situations that made me anxious - secondary school, uni, and finally adulthood where I'm now totally isolated and only leave my flat for work (where I talk to nobody if possible and get tremors when replying to emails in case I make a spelling mistake) and the supermarket.

The managers pick on me now because they know I will react and give them something to do to justify their jobs. I would be fine if they left me alone to my depressing boredom.

That sounds cool - my group is still really not that experienced at all, but just about to finish this current campaign. I'm starting a new 'leg' of the campaign I guess, with the same PCs except without mine and with our current DM's.
I'm going to be winging it a bit myself, so wouldn't feel too comfortable giving advice, but lurking/posting in /tg/ has helped me understand a lot more and given me a few ideas.
