It depends I suppose. I feel anxious constantly all the time, and it stops me doing even the most simple things. If I want to play some vidya there is something stopping me but I can't really explain what. Leaving the house can be hard though I have a job, and a stomach churning feeling of dread is pretty much always with me.
I don't really have it socially too bad though, once I am with someone I can usually talk to them just fine. If it's a crowd it's a different story but everyone feels shit in a crowd so that doesn't count. Most people would be surprised if I told them all the anxiety shit I go through.

Petty much always been one, I have memories of it as early as primary school (and possibly playschool when I was like 3, I'm not really sure if it counts). Got incrementally worse a I got more freedom over my life and therefore no longer "had" to be in situations that made me anxious - secondary school, uni, and finally adulthood where I'm now totally isolated and only leave my flat for work (where I talk to nobody if possible and get tremors when replying to emails in case I make a spelling mistake) and the supermarket.

I have a similar(ish) problem. I have lost three jobs due to flare ups of my lifelong illness. It puts me out of action for a couple of months and I am thrown out of the train. Still, I always get back up, reapply, and make up some bullshit reason for why I stopped at my last job.
I'm also a fucking nightmare in the mornings, any job that makes me work mornings is nearly impossible for me. Thankfully I have been quite lucky in that regard so it hasn't been too much of a problem yet.

There is one shop that does them but they have them at meme prices. When I bought my N64 I went to that shop first and the guy wanted 60 quid unboxed no controllers black N64. I only recently started my current retail job so I am not there yet. I am still saying new things to people and whatnot. The others around me are there though, I must hear "so, christmas shopping?" and "how is the christmas shopping going?" at least 50 times a day. The managers pick on me now because they know I will react and give them something to do to justify their jobs. I would be fine if they left me alone to my depressing boredom.
They don't give a shit I'm miserable. Nobody gives a shit if anyone is miserable. They just feel uncomfortable that someone is outwardly expressing it and want to suppress it because "customers don't like it" (when in truth most don't give a shit since they aren't even paying attention to you at all).
I have had customers demand me to smile on the spot though. I feel like asking them why I should even bother since I have no goddamn reason toand I'm not some monkey you can force to dance.
I normally give them a real fucking sarcastic smile. I give people and managers exactly what they ask for. (They soon regret it)
I know I sound like an asshole, but I'm tired. Just so tired of working retail.
But I need the money and I can't seem to land any other job I apply for either, since even 7 years experience working since I was 16 doesn't seem good enough.

Holy fuck this feel. I used to work in finance and our whole thing was customer service. If the customer wanted you to bend over and fuck you in the ass you pretty much were obliged to let them.
After awhile I became so jaded by the same bollocks all the rich old people would chat I would just go over the top. They'd always be on to me about mundane bollocks like it was the end of the world, for example it took them 5 minutes to find a parking space or a black person spoke to them last week. I started going full on Daily Mail when they'd do it and start saying crazy shit about how we needed to bring in a draft and how parents should be beating their kids and I'd tell the racist one's anybody who doesn't go at least 3 generations back shouldn't be allowed into England, let alone to live. They'd all fucking agree with everything I'd say. I'd be as big as a parody of themselves as I could and they would just agree passionately and tell me even more crazy bollocks than what I was saying.
I don't think working in a place where you are forced to be happy and friendly to every cunt can be good for your mental health either. I'd be super happy and nice to everyone all day and inside I'd be in a violent rage by the time I was on my way home. I'd sit there in a meeting with some old cunt yapping onto me and play out the exact scenario of what would happen if I just punched them in the face mid sentence. Was like some Patrick Bateman shit.
