i kinda wish skyrim had a place like the imperial city. playing a thief in oblivion was tits with how big that city was and all the places to knock off, sneaking around at night when everyone was asleep and stuff. Skyrim is big and all but the layout is more scatter and smallish like morrowind and i just didn't really like how the character moves around with no way to change speed and stuff just got way too watered down.

That's curious. In my language, Polish, '(o)siedle' means literally 'settlement'. But I didn't know it was a Germanism -- only now did I realize that it derives from the mediaeval period in the history of Poland that towns used to be founded on a German model, or something. It is a word so thoroughly assimilated, no speaker would recognize it as a loan.

I really enjoy Dragon's Crown for the PSV, pham. Really beautiful artwork with a lot of warm colors, 2d sidescroller beat em up. I play as a qt Elf and spent 1 million ingame currency to have her as a narrator voice. Feels good man.

As I said, for me 1404 is a close second to 1602 because I'm not allowed to focus on my European settlement; I HAVE to have an Arabian colony to proceed. And that's something I don't really like.
However, the monuments are just fantastic and the graphics are stellar. It has a great atmosphere and some comfort functions that 1602 lacks.

Man I remember playing Last Remnant on some weird whim after seeing it on TPB, and I never saw ANYONE mention it ever. I thought it was some weird fucking niche title I had played that no one else had, and forgot about it.
But it turns out it's some sort of /v/ cult classic? Should I go back to it and give it another whirl? I remember grinding so fucking hard to beat this one boss that would instakill you on the 7th turn, and start AOEing you on the 3rd, and feeling SUCH ACCOMPLISHMENT, and then finding out there was a palette swap of his fucking ass ten minutes later.
I also remember grinding for a lot of special characters. There was some elite squad of dudes you could recruit if you beat them and I was so proud when I got them.
Oh fuck, is there any chance the grinding for item drops is any better? I remember that being really awful even though I was trying to be a completionist. I remember having to re-enter areas over and over and over again.

I think 1404 is the biggest game with the most features
it kind of works just like 1701 but with some improvements
and the timeframe is pretty cool. Since it's set in the middle ages the scope is more just like the map is the Mediterranean sea and all of your stuff is pretty Germany/Poland - centric.

The biggest differences are that 1404 is more extensive and has more features.
1602 is the start of the series, the setup for everything to come. It's 2D (and looks gorgeous in my opinion) and is just a game you can watch for a bit and enjoy the little details you see. If you play the later Annos first you'll notice many things missing, many features that make it easier to manage your islands. So in that regard it's more difficult than the following Annos.
If you want to see how the series started, play 1602. It's fantastic and still absolutely playable.
If you want a more comfortable experience with up-to-date 3D graphics and a similar style as 1602, play 1404.

I started a complete play through (completing almost every unique item, guns , quests as possible)
Spent 45 hours before ever set foot into Strip. Doing all the quests boomer-bos etc before talking to house.
and later on Caesar commented on my actions, I was not expecting it, fucking hell obsidian thought of everything.
the sad thing is that it is really incomplete, when you explore it thoroughly you notice how they lacked the time to do a lot of stuff, particulary more legion related content. Hopefully they will make a "new vegas 2" with fallout 4 engine, hopefully better and more content filled than new vegas.
