when I was in college I got pretty close to a female friend of mine, spent a lot of time together in the evenings. turns out she was into me, mostly I was just lonely, but either way she was pretty upset when she found out I wasn't interested in a relationship (we never had sex or anything)
she'd dated a few of my friends in the past and dumped them for not very good reasons. I don't know whether I regret giving her the wrong idea or not going through with it more, but it's a regret either way considering I'm ridiculously undesirable and my life is a mess now
