what procedure did you ask them about exactly? BSSO? If you have an overbite it won't be purely cosmetic it would be functional as well. If you have no overbite then sliding genio would do it and that procedure is purely a cosmetic one and is done all the time for cosmetic reasons

Well do you have an overjet or not? Pic related is what an overjet looks like. If your teeth look like this with your jaw relaxed then it's retarded that a surgeon would refuse to do a BSSO on you. If you don't have an overjet and simply have no chin then you need a sliding genioplasty.

Pulling teeth would have disastrous effects on your face. I have an overjet too and am seeing a max fac surgeon in 2016 and saving up for surgery currently. I previously went to two orthodontists and they both tell me that I should get surgery for it. Maybe yours isn't that bad and that's why they said it? Mine is pretty big but my chin is normal for some reason.
