I don't have it as bad as the pic in OP but I have cystic acne and it sucks so much. It was supposed to go away when I stopped being a teenager not get worse. There is literally no way anyone could find me attractive because my face is disfigured, and the worst part is no one cares or is sympathetic because "it's just acne, you should just wash your face and change your pillow case :^)"

I have been on accutane/tretinoin for a while now and my face/chest have cleared up very nicely. The only downside is that I get random zits on weird areas of my body.

I think you need to at least find things that make you happy and enjoy them as much as you can. I have a followup scheduled in a month for the three month followup after starting Minocycline and I'll likely start taking Accutane then. I realize it's probably solvable but life sucks right now and literally nothing I have tried so far has worked, and if I complain about it I'm just dirty or lazy or "I'll grow out of it :^)"
What helped me during my teen days was Eau de Cologne and cotton twice a day. Take a piece of cotton wool, pour some cologne on it and wipe your face thouroughly, take a new piece and repeat when first one gets dirty you'll see the dirt in it for sure.

I'm 20 and I gave up. literally just stopped washing my face all together and my skin cleared up and looks great now. I have a few scars from cysts that I'm waiting to fade but besides that shit is good.
What's weird is I used to have a bunch of dead skin when I was using products but now that I don't do anything my skin just heals on its own. It feels great waking up and not having to put a bunch of shit on your face every day.

My acne was never that bad, but I didn't respond at all to the 5+ treatments my dermatologist tried putting me on.
I was completely clear on accutane after just 2 months, and never had any side effects.I got lucky as shit on that though.
My chin and forehead used to get pretty bad but that stopped after puberty. Now my back gets covered and once in a while I get a breakout. Just change your sheets and pillows every night and try to stop your skin from getting to oily, that was the problem I had with my skin

Can confirm false at least for acne that cycles between mild to small outbreaks. I've done nothing but eat healthy for four years since I was 20 and my shit is still the same. And by healthy I mean consuming lots of fruits, various vegetables (good nutritious kind, not iceberg salads), legumes, some fish, all while tracking macros to lose weight. Also do lifting+cardio, always been a low stress person, and am very hygienic.
Maybe it would be worse if I hadn't eaten like that but I know it hasn't cured it in least. Don't work for everyone.
