Everytime I shave my beard/mustache I feel violated. I just wanna grow a cool mustache nut my mother is nagging to shave it for a family christmas party.

Well let's see a picture? Honestly, though, the best middle ground would be just cutting it short with some hair clippers or, if you're steady, some scissors. It's what I do because I hate taking a blade to my face. Or, maybe you just need to clean up the neckline and upper cheeks to make it not look so scraggly?

Yeah I gues I should do that but it's a shame even though my beard hairs are about 1 inch slightly more even in only 2 months. It'll grow back really fast but I don't feel like starting over the beard has always felt like a part of me. Every time I shave it it feels like a small limb is missing.
