I actually legitimately went to watch it alone earlier today. Was amazing, I am overjoyed that I was able to experience it by myself.
All of my friends are Star Wars fans so it would have been cheapened by going with them. The mystique and wonder would have been lost.
I implore you to see it alone. The movie itself will make up for lack of companions.

I don't get why people are "afraid" or concerned to go to the cinema alone. Personally I usually see movies to the cinema only when it's a film I really really want to see. Usually I go with my friends, if no friends are available I still consider watching it at the cinema a good option, the big screen, the popcorns, the atmosphere... it's different from watching it at home
