You have to also remember that reproduction does not necessarily mean that you as an individual get to reproduce. Some individuals have more of a supporting role in the process and some are just genetic dead ends and their "purpose" is just to die.
The point you literally make up and assign it. It can be anything, no matter how insignificant or petty.. Life has no inherent meaning, meaning is a construct
