How are these shoes autistic?
WHAT'RE THOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE?
They got vaccinated
>>25077568
/r9k/s footwear of choice.
If you have to ask, you're autistic.
>>25077568
that joke got a little stale after the 500,000,000,000,000,000,000th time
>>25077542
I haven't ever worn any, but I assume that like most beta-scrub gear, they're actually fairly comfortable, which is part of the appeal. Comfort over style, which is where poorly dressed men fail. Because they go through their lives and never insert themselves with enough frequency, into situations where they would want, or be expected, to be sharply dressed. There's a cartoon about the attire of a "nice guy", which makes my point for me.
To look at the shoes themselves, they look like mini-vans. Puffy, graceless lines. They'll get you where you need to go, and are reliable, but if you were a turbo-normie, you wouldn't take them to the club - or if you did, the doorman would let your woman in, and block you.
Which is not to say that New Balance does not make "stylish" shoes with decent lines. They do - and I looked at a thread on /fa/ recently where multiple posters had kind words for the brand, and posted examples - but they're too close to this type of thing. New Balance is an "unsexy" brand in the sense that I don't associate it with Michael Jordan, or success, or any athlete, really.
These are the shoes that one wears when one does not care at all about social standing, or style, prizing (presumably) comfort and utility above all other considerations. They are the shoes that one wears when one incorrectly dismisses the former socially-oriented considerations as "illogical". That is why, like socks with sandals, they are autistic.

>Michael Jordan
WHERE MY JAY WEARING NIGGAS @
>>25077542
they aren't
they are; high quality, comfortable, well-priced footwear made in the USA.
>>25079310
>all this autism
You could have just said "autistic people tend to wear them everywhere" you fucking clown. We see a pattern and make it a stereotype, nothing more deep than that. Autistic people wear them because they got used to them as kids and don't shop for anything new or different. They dont have a need or even know anything about "comfort" beyond what they did as children, and plenty of autistic gear and lifestyle choices are painfully uncomfortable.
>>25077542
NB makes decently designed shoes, but as that other poster said those sneakers are basically minivans on your feet
>>25079310
I always see normies wearing nike sandals and socks tho
>>25077542
I guess some people just inherently have a better sense of fashion than others. Those look fine to me.
Why do those afflicted with the tism insist every thread that comfort/practicality and fashion are mutually exclusive?
Because they aren't mutually exclusive.
And newbalances aren't even that great in the comfort/utility department.
just get a pair of chuck taylors my nigga
>>25077779
Not op but i'm autistic as in clinically
i wear different shoes but I wear ones that look kinda similar to op's pic, but not nb (nike)

>>25081977
They're full on casual normie shit tier and you know what that means for you.
>>25082006
There's not many shoes out there that fit my clown feet, anon
They're not, they were just out of fashion 2 years ago when this meme started, now they're back in
The real autism is people not understanding that fashion ebbs and flows
>>25082045
What's your shoe size nigga
>>25082045
Chucks are really bad for big feet m8

>>25082093
How tall are you nigga
>>25082067
They were never in fashion. Shoes kind of like that are coming back in but not those. The reason they suck is because they don't go with any outfit I think
>>25082124

>>25082067
pretty sure the shoes an OP's pic (as well as nike monarchs) will always be considered crucial autism attire
however, pic related seems to be really popular with the fraternity crowd at my school
>>25082152
I'm not black so wouldn't I not be able to pull that off?

>>25081977
depends on the colour. any shoe that isn't a solid block colour (usually black, white or brown) is autistic
>>25081977
they're middle-school edgy "nirvana is my favorite punk band" wear
The cool kids don't wear them XD
>>25077542
If you wear sports shoes while not performing any sports, you showcase your autism and the fact that you haven't learned to dress yourself properly beyond what mommy used to buy for you when you were a kid (or still buys for you).
>>25082857
>>25081977
Converse can be good - http://imgur.com/a/NlQNT
>>25083042
Converse only look really good brand new (if you're going for a preppy look) or destroyed (more of a punk rock look). I really like the monochrome black lows and the all white high tops
>>25082857
They're pretty popular in California
>>25081977
not presently.
but i'd imagine they will be soon they're synonymous with early 00's scensters and BBT neo-nerds.
>>25079310
>Because they go through their lives and never insert themselves with enough frequency, into situations where they would want, or be expected, to be sharply dressed.
not even funny, just
absolutely cringeworthy
>>25082889
It's only shoes
Wear whatever you want
