How did Salinger capture the quintessential essence of the typical bot 50 years before they existed?
>>25071152
robots are old souls
The MC was just a lazy, teenage edgelord.
He was also a massive normalfag.
>>25071152
Cellular memory, we all have a sort of genetic memory but most of us are blind to it's presence. Your ancestors who were robots are in control. It may not be your dad, but some of your ancestors were robots and you inherited their memory as your primary cell memory.
Robots probably existed since the dawn of time. They always seem to manage to pass on their genes and cellular memory though.

teens have always been faggots

Holden was a normie. He hooked up with like 5 girls by the time he was 14. Ackley was the real robot.
>>25072145
You really have no idea what a robot is.
>>25071152
He was just an edgy teen going through some changes and having a difficult time coping with things. He was also pretty damn irrational.
Really, you were supposed to feel repulsed by his actions, I felt bad for him, but hated the stupid shit he did out of his rationalizing.
I liked the book though, anyone else?
>>25072204
YOU really have no idea what a robot is if you think the main character of catcher in the rye was a robot. Go back to posting rare pepes on twitter you poser.
>>25071152
Holden is a fucking normie. I reeeed reading that shit.
>muh phonies
>>25071152

If you are able to form your own ideas and realize what a cunt the he was, then yes it is an interesting book. A book can also focus upon a negative character, like >>25072061
dune, Muad-dib made drums out of his enemies skin. He wasn't some saint.
>>25071152

Guys, what if, just what if, the definition and meaning of internet slang changes based on its usage and different people can have different definitions of the same word?
What if language was a constantly evolving thing instead of static and unchanging. Crazy theory, right?
>>25071152
Holden was a shitty normie. Not even a robot a little
>>25072466
What if you're a fucking normalfag who should get the fuck off arcanine.
>>25072145
>>25072228
>>25072466
I agree with the first guy.
Holden was not a robot. Tumblr would be closer to his medium.
>>25072269
Now we're talking.
>>25072269
I wonder what the oldest documentation of a robot is. Who was the first robot?
>catcher in the rye
Pleb tier, to be quite honest with you family.

This book sucked, along with For Whom the Bell Tolls.
