Five years later and it's basically my situation. I wouldn't say it was loveless since there wasn't love there to begin with. It feels just like living with a teacher or some authority figure more than anything, like a professional relationship.

We originally met when she did a seminar at my school, and I was one of the few people there, the only one who had questions. Later on I had to go to the emergency room and we met again. Kept in contact after that and hung out a few times. Relationship talk came from that.
Now she works, I mind the house and our kid. Basically I keep things as simple and stress-free as possible for her outside of work.

I'd stay by her side. Even if the time I'd get to spend with her would be limited and lack the old passion, it would still beat being single and alone. You tend to forget all the bad sides of the single life when you get in a relationship, so it's only natural to think about trading it for the 'freedom' of not being tied down; but do not let yourself be fooled. You will probably regret your choice later if you actually go for it. I know I quickly did and still do to this date.
