stealth archers are op as shit in elder scrolls and it is actually skill based

it actually happens to NPCs in oblivion, some of them will steal stuff if they want something but don't have it on them. It's linked to their responsibility trait, when it's low they have no problem with committing crime.
It got stripped away in skyrim though, which is why nothing wacky or unexpected ever happens in it.

That being said, I usually do play as a fuckng sneak archer but since I'm a stealth main I also go with daggers as a melee option.
