Because they are very prone to appeals to emotion and promises of free shit, which is what the left bases its campaigns on. It's also more socially acceptable at the moment to be a leftist and women are trend-following pack animals.
1. Women are right-wing as fuck in countries where that is the socially accepted and cool norm. Nazi women were known to be especially fanatical. Why? Because they are genuinely incapable of standing up to social trends and pressures. If leftism is cool in college, all the college girls will be leftists.
2. Women are collectivist, as everyone else stated. Their entire leadership style involves discussing feelings. Their communication style is about empathy. Their moral understanding is based on the "ethics of care," meaning that they don't operate on principles like men do. They operate on emotions and personal links. This makes them collectivist.
3. Women get the most out of socialist/collectivist arrangements. Someone else watches their baby and gives them free abortions and all that. It's like a surrogate father and husband rolled into one.
