why don't all you robots just join the military?
>>
If you've ever been diagnosed with depression or are obese they won't let you. This doesn't encompass all the board, but I'd say a good chunk of it.
>>
Because I don't want to fight for an anti white political agenda.

I did, Marines for eight years. Just got out in the spring. Of course, I'm not a robot, I'm a normie. I just like coming here to shit up the board and troll.

>Get yelled at by retards who probably don't even want to be there themselves
>Fight in pointless wars and further destabilize countries to create more terrorists

Nothing about the military would help my depression.

I'd say about 80% of this board would be med dropped. MEPS is strict about all kinds of issues that aren't even a problem in the military. Also, all of the high school dropouts on here are a no-go.

>>
I did. It didn't change much about myself. I was friendless virgin loser going in, and I was still one going out.

Deployments were unique as fuck though. But I guess I mainly learned from it that people aren't all that bad. Even the people I looked up to because they were so outgoing and friendly were just as vulnerable as anyone else. Suicides were common in my unit.

Now I'm just a reservist in the chair force and I'm trying to get my life together after a long time of being depressed and not really doing anything about it.
>>
Because I have to finish my studies before getting to be specialized officer who can just spend his time fucking around with radar-systems

the military is like the worst job ever for a robot.
>>
>>25043958

Marine Corps. Not marines corp. And pay rates are the same across all branches. Takes all of 5 seconds to look up. But since you are apparently too lazy, I'll throw you a bone.

Monthly base pay for an E-1 is $1,546.83 before taxes. This does not include all the benefits (health, housing, food, clothing allowance, etc etc).

If you can't get into military try applying for a spot at a nuclear power plant. They'll teach you to use armalite rifles and glocks and hand to hand combat. But you work 5 12 hour shifts. It's a lot of money to be made but no life

I dont need no military to take care of me. Its pointless in this day and age. Plus there's no traps there

Military life would be good for many robots, but a lot of them would wash out for mental and physical issues. It would be best for the cyborg types who are really failed normies. Learning a trade or joining the military are the only ways to get ahead without believing the college meme.

>Black female Marines

All of my hate.

Coming from an infantry unit to a pog unit filled with females and half of them black females was a horrible experience. You can't blast them for giving you attitude or else the gunnery sergeant they are fucking in the company will give you negative paperwork. They will tattle on you for anything offensive and form their own little circles of blackness with other black marines and become a deterrent to the overall mission. Other females are just as bad.

Where the fuck is my god damn war? I want to see these "warfighters" actually fight. Nothing puts the cherry on top of a shit sundae when the same gunny that is fucking E-3 females tells the company that they're just as able to fight as well as males in the infantry.

All I feel is hate now. I am numb to happiness.

I'm going to be one of the few people on this thread to tell it to you straight.
Don't do it fgt. Don't mind these SoldierCucks.
Unless you enjoy being cucked on the daily, brainwashed, told what to do, punished for the stupidest shit, losing your freedom, and giving up at least 4-5 prime years of your young life that you will never get back.
Also murdering people and slaving away for Raytheon, Blackwater, Northrop Grumman and Halliburton shekels.
"But muh self-improvement. I want to get jacked and disciplined so Stacy can chase my cock."
There are literally millions of ways that you can self-improve, none of which involve selling your body and soul to the U.S. Empire

Anyways I would be pleasantly surprised if its easier than I'm expecting. I've been wearing myself out doing hundreds of pushups a day and eating just 1200 calories.

what is financial aid
what is a scholarship

have you even gone to basic yet?
if you haven't,
1) drop everything you're doing, it's not important
2) get a lawyer or at least some informed adult representative to accompany you
3) go to your recruiter RIGHT NOW
4) say you want out
5) he'll try to convince you not to because he's a retarded cuck, a literal brainwashed drone
6) don't accept his bullshit
7) stay firm in your decision
8) do NOT leave until you and your rep both confirm that he's signing you off on the legit paperwork to relieve you of your prior contract
9) sign the paperwork
10) you're done desu!
11) walk out and don't turn back (or give the recruiter a mooning or the finger once you step outside the door into the parking lot if you want to be an Edgelord about it)

In any case, so far I have to admit the guys I've met at MEPS and in DEP are all people I like being around.

Idk man, idk. Why should I not do it? Is financial aid really that easy to get? I have no guidance on how to get it besides the internet.

In our oligarchical society with its great monopolies the money is getting kicked up either way. Firstly the plethora of new recruits are fresh faced kids with no where to go, some also have debt and a degree. They would rather go mil and get some dosh and skills for school/apprenticeship rather than work a shitty retail job saving nickels that hopefully when rubbed together keep the heat on.
>Why didn't you work harder in high school or shake that managers hand firmer

Shit happens and the military can be a good way to improve. And those big wigs are getting paid and people are going to die either way. You can believe all you want that you're free and no pawn, but like it or not you're still on the farm. You just chose another pen.

I'm actually in shape for the first time in my life, my parents are proud of me too which is a really good feeling. I've learned a lot about myself as well and I have much less anxiety over things as I used to. It's not a bad life. It takes getting used to, but you can still chill on pc all the time, even at AIT. So this is from my limited experience. There were a bunch of prior enlisted guys in my platoon (as in having been to boot camp and having served as enlisted Marines) and they all performed exceptionally well at OCS. That is honestly the route I wish I would've seriously considered before but since I'm done it doesn't matter now. I would recommend looking into the Reserves or National Guard. What branch are you interested in?

I'm pretty much set on Marines. I'm heavily considering enlisting so I don't have to do 4+ years of school after I graduate. I also think it would make me a better officer experience wise.

My dad really wants me to go to college though, and I have the grades/money to go if I want. How long had they served before OCS?
>>
>>25043788
Don't forget us hungry skeletons. The recruiter said I was too skinny. She offered to enroll me anyway, since the Air Force had a 6 month waiting list, but I said no. I wouldn't have gained the weight in time. I still didn't until several years later.
>>
>>25046533
Not him, but if you're in your mid twenties already and just now signing a contract, it's unrealistic to think you'll get out in four years and just go to college in your late twenties/early thirties. Maybe if you earn an associates while you're in, but this guy would likely be better served by getting trained in a technical field and getting some useful certifications/a security clearance.

If you can get an officer's commission through ROTC you'd be a fool not to do it. Life as an officer (even a junior officer) is much better than life as a junior enlisted man. Having a college degree and a commission opens doors that are closed to the enlisted.

We all like the CEO that started out in the mailroom idea. To apply for OCS as an enlisted, active duty Marine, you must be at least a Sergeant with excellent fitreps, no NJPs, etc. You basically need to distinguish yourself from a bunch of highly motivated PT studs. There was only like 3 or 4 MECEP guys in the whole company (like 150 candidates). One was a sniper, one was a DI, one was MP and one was music (wtf lol). The rest were reservists. Bunch of infantry guys. One had multiple deployments (was active then went reserves). One CRBN, one MP, couple armorers, and I can't remember the rest. They all had at least 2 years between graduating Boot Camp and coming to OCS. Long story short, for the most "guaranteed" way, do PLC. It's what I did, and is the most common route. If you join the reserves, who knows? You may not end up liking it. But if you really wanna be a prior, join the reserves.

Either join or don't.
There are plenty of options for both enlisted and commissioned.
Both are vastly different and in the long run, if you don't stay in, it doesn't fucking matter which one you were.
If you want the 'true' experience of hard work and getting fucked, go enlisted. It is kind of fun.
If you want to have an easy ride and still experience the military, go officer, it is probably fun.

tl;dr The military is a great jump start on life if you have no idea what you want to do.

> I choose to not directly help them or become involved in their organization
An admirable choice, im not in the mil myself and try not to inadvertently help the powers that be either. I dont know I just think that since times of antiquity there have been waves of chaos and order, its presented in times of old. At some point the strong subvert the weak and eventually it gets bad enough for the masses to shift it to their favor; but eventually they stop being vigilant and snakes slither back into their homes under toe only with new scales.

Honestly rant aside 95% of the people that join now wont have much to worry about in terms of casualty, but that can change at any time. People have to live and its an option some dont have the luxury of financial security. We all have cards but some through incompetence or bad plays end up in the hole, the mil for some can be an ace.

Why yes, you are correct. I was already well aware of this. My comment about relevancy was moreso directed at my interpretation that the specific point you made about me typing on a corporate product was not necessarily addressing the crux of my argument. But I digress

>Wut im not tin-foiling
Oh wut, sorry. Maybe I shouldn't have said sheeple. Wasn't trying to imply that you were tin-foiling. Legit mistake there: I made the (incorrect) assumption that you were referring to NSA surveillance of electronic communication media/computers/cell phones etc. (which IS real, not tin-foil) when you made the "typing on corporate product" comment and thereby subtly implying that I don't know that the NSA are tracking my online moves, rather than " the circle of CEO trade deals and exploitation etc. ", which you clarified that was what you were actually referring to
Oh and yes, legal monopolies. I wuz aware.

>An admirable choice...
agree with everything except (possibly) not "chaos and order", if by "order" you mean what we have now, I'd argue that the totalitarian power structure we have in place now over most of the world is the exact opposite of order, it is in fact chaos
Spontaneous, non-hierarchical, horizontally democratic structures based on workers' consensus and democratic control of land, capital and natural resources for the public good (i.e. what is generally referred to as "Anarchism" or "Anarcho-syndical/communal/collectivism") have been demonstrated time and time again, from antiquity to various indigenous societies to the modern day (think Catalonia in the Spanish Civil War), to be both attainable and highly ordered

Everyone laughs at the Army because they do the shit tier work, everybody says sailors are gay (it's a meme sort of, like ''you can take the army out of an army grunt, but you can never take the seaman out of a sailor'') and air force has the future in its hands. you also have the best jobs involving technology
>>
>>25051988
I see. The thing that bothers me with the Air Force is that I'll pretty much never get to handle a gun or do anything remotely related to actual operating, nor will I get to be on the move (it's pretty much office work for the most part, right)?

My country has some pilot (helicopter and fighter jet) positions available, what are the pros and cons of being a pilot?
Otherwise I guess I should just go for SIGINT/communications and cyberwar stuff?
>>
>>25051736
>>25051988

Forgot to say, never enroll as something else than an officer.

I'd say ignore my advice and pick what your heart desires (lol), but have you considered intelligence? It can be a really, really awesome job. The links are for the Canadian forces but you should check them out to get an idea of what it's like.

http://www.forces.ca/en/job/signalofficer-79

https://www.cse-cst.gc.ca/en/careers-carrieres/professionals-professionnels/opportunities (browse a little)

I thought about joining military for a while before I realized it probably wouldn't be mentally challenging enough - which is where this type of organization came into play. Anyway, I hope that got you a bit interested/answered your question a little. If you have any more concerns or shit feel free to send me an email at [email protected]
>>
in germany its really hard to join the military. even in some grunt tier canon fodder position with shit wage

you need to be really fit even before you start, you are not allowed to have any mental illness, you are not allowed to be a typical robot (you will have multiple interviews)

otherwise they tell you to fuck off
>>
>>25052063

Your reply didn't load before I sent mine, lol my bad.

Handling an army gun isn't really that big of a deal; really, did you ever try to go hunting? My friends in the Air Force was deployed to several places (Italy, belgium, remote canadian places and maybe (idr correctly) morocco), and while he wasn't on the field, nobody really is. There's no major conflict that involves anyone really

Personally I think SIGINT is really dank shit, however I'm hesitating because of the pay (a bit low, compared to private contractors). Are you in the US? You can make huge $$$ with contractors instead of actual military, I mean just look at Snowden.

Pilots... Dude, this is the best position you could ever ask for in the AF. However, it's also the one with highest demand. You need top grades, 20/20 eyesight, perfect physical condition, etc.
Pros: You fly an awesome plane
Cons: [None]
If I try hard to find cons, you can't do it forever. After 7-8 years, 10 if you're lucky (extremely rare), you'll be grounded with a desk job for the rest of your career.

tl;dr: SIGINT is probably your best bet (except for pilot); it's the future of warfare.

Also, you have to be 22-23 or younger to join as a pilot; that's actually borderline unacceptable iirc.

I did

I should have gone full time instead of reserves though, since eventually, being a friendless faggot loser with poor fitness got me and I left. Had I gone full time, I might have had the 24/7 exposure to normies and exercise that shaped me into something other than what I am now.

I don't regret it though. I pretty much can't speak about anything I've done because if I do they'll ask why I left and then I have to explain how much of a fuck up I was but for what it's worth, I did some pretty cool things and met some pretty cool people. At the end of it, I still came out a slightly fitter person too, even if I was still shit.

>tfw month long basic/training/exercises

I was always able to keep my cool and hide my power level and not sperg out until the last week and then it became unbearable hiding who I was.

I kind of wish I could rejoin but I'm nowhere near the kind of person the military would actually think about giving a second chance.
>>
>>25052084
>never enroll as something else than an officer
Why?
Also, my country doesn't seem to require a degree for pilot positions, so I suppose pilots are NCOs here.

>intelligence
You mean agencies such as the NSA or CIA (for the US, my country has other equivalents)? Don't those have an extremely high barrier of entry?

I'm not Canadian but thanks for the resources, I'll take a look.

>>25052157
>There's no major conflict that involves anyone really
Well, only special forces get deployed nowadays, but in my country SFs work just like the SEALs do in the US, you directly join the training program instead of spending 5 years as an infantry grunt before joining. I don't know if I'm cut out for SF though.

>Are you in the US
No, and I doubt my country has resources on the same level as SIGINT, but I'm guessing any equivalents would be equally interesting, right?
>contractors
PMC you mean? I thought those required an engineering degree + experience in the field.

>this is the best position you could ever ask for in the AF
Even helicopters or cargo planes? I'm guessing fighter plane pilot positions are in extremely high demand but I'm not sure about the former
>>
>>25051372
>2.94 is an 84% average
No it isn't?
An 84% GPA would be around 3.25. What the fuck kind of math are you using?

>Canadian forces
The fuck?
>>
>>25052251

> officer
1. Shittier pay
2. You depend on your superiors for your contract, and a lot of them are pretty dumb
3. Next to no freedom to do what you want
4. In the event that you get captured (aka prisoner of war), you have next to no rights. You're essentially a slave whose death will be covered up by the powers that be for whatever goal they need; read about japanese slave camps, with american POWs, or just Laura Hillenbrand's ''unbroken''.

>intelligence
I'm not sure, fom what I see it's mostly a degree, wits and no record. It does take skilled people though.

> SF
I know two guys who were in special forces. Unless you have a diehard drive and extreme resilience you won't make it. Like extreme resilience.

>location
You're right, anything equivalent is interesting too!

>PMCs/contractors
Yeah, I literally translated from French to English my bad. It's kind of a loop to get in them: having experience with intelligence agencies puts you in a favorable spot with PMCs, and having experience with PMCs puts you in a favorable spot with intelligence agencies.

> cargo planes
All pilots go through the same basic training program. The best choose what they want ot pilot (usually F-Whatevers), in a sort of meritocracy, and the shittiest ones pick whatever's left, like cargo planes, for example. You still have to be top of the top to go through.

>no degree for pilots
?????????
in the RCAF pilots automatically start as officers, so you should check out your country's pay scale for pilots. It'll probably look like this -> http://www.forces.gc.ca/en/caf-community-pay/reg-force-class-c-officer-rates.page

If not, I don't know what to say

>a degree, wits and no record
Then again, intelligence is quite broad, are you talking about a specific branch?
I know for sure that any kind of covert ops stuff requires SF experience for example

>anything equivalent is interesting too
Apart from the US and China, are there any countries which are truly involved in the cyber war though? This seems interesting to me but I'm not sure if I'll just end up as a sysadmin or if I'll actually do cool stuff.

>having experience with intelligence agencies
Then I suppose you're talking about stuff like SAD SOG, TF 88 or whatever because I don't think PMCs recruit anyone who doesn't have considerable "field" experience (that's to say, veterans)

My country basically requires the equivalent of the SAT, then does an initial selection. After that it's apparently three years of training in an air force school.

what forces would I join anyway?
I can fight, but with reason and purpose.
I'm also no amerifuck to blindly go into the desert and destroy sandcastles.
Also I can never be sure what assignaments await me, that is I have no control over my government's choices, and I'm no husk of flesh to blindly do what I'm told.
It's kinda as with how I imagine working for police forces. I don't know if one day I'll have to hold off a riot of my fellow men fighting for a good cause.

>>25051057
Becoming an officer has a lot of benefits that being enlisted doesn't, and a lot better pay, so if you can try to get commissioned. Air Force is a lot of science, and has the least probability of being involved in combat. You get to travel a lot in the Navy and Air Force. The Army has a wide range of jobs so you have more options. Marines is probably the most physically difficult and smallest branch.

No, I'm not talking about a branch in particular. You don't need SF experience for be involve in ''covert stuff'' also, you just need your top secret/secret/etc classification. Well, obviously you also need experience in the organization. I guess you could say I'm talking about the CIA branch mostly, but there is a lot of overlap between jobs in the CIA and NSA, for example. Like cryptographer/sysadmin/translator/I could go on.

>cyberwar
man, literally every country with internet is involved in the cyberwar. A lot of the time the attacks aren.t reported/countries don't make a big deal out of it because it's not a bass-lout attack but mostly prodding at defenses. It is mostly China and the U.S. though, you're right.

>SAD SOG/TF 88
? No, I wasn't talking about S`F; I meant that any type of military experience puts you at an advantage with PMCs, and the reverse also. For example, Snowden enlisted as an infantryman, started training, broke both legs after there was an accident (a few months after he was hired) and got preferential treatment with the NSA because he was a ''veteran'', so to speak of.

So you're saying your country's pilots really, actually aren't officers? Wow...

Despite the threats they make at MEPS about how they will arrest you if you lie to them, they can't actually pull medical records unless you are physically present to sign them over to them.

Unlike criminal records, medical records are not kept in an easily accessible database, they would have to go directly to whatever medical provider you go to and request your medical records and they are way too lazy to do that much work.

I was in the Signals, basically worked with radios which loved to drop fill during really important times.

You were in the royal corps of signals? Is it more or less the equivalent of SIGINT in the US?
Was it interesting? Did you also get to do some "field" work (physical training, firearms and combat training, etc) apart from the technical stuff?
