How can I become assertive?
I'm sick of being a bitchboy and always being considerate and not wanting to upset anyone and going out of my way to not attract attention. I turn down girls because I think "they deserve better" and whenever my life gets even shittier I think "well I shouldn't complain" its like I'm cuckolding myself out of happiness.

You can only change your base personality so much, some personalities simply cannot into natural assertiveness. Lifting is not a meme btw, it will help a bit if you give it a chance.

Start saying "no". Start with little shit, like at tge restaurant, when tge waitress asks you if you want a drink, just say like, "no. Waters fine."
Also, compliment people. By extending the flattery, you expose yourself and your opinions to others in a disposable manner. You may even get complimented back!
