It was after my ex dumped me. I was a little needy throughout the relationship. Afterwards I went to a bar and almost picked up this girl... But I screwed it up. I realized I was giving too much of a shit and it showed. Then a few weeks ago I met another girl at a German culture meetup. I've been pretty aloof and haven't paid that much attention to her. Now she's all over me.

Looks contribute to the overall concept of status. So does height, wealth, and everything else. Girls who care about those things are usually what we call shallow.
