Can someone explain why you would want to be NEET? Why are you guys proud of it? Do you all live with your parents? Do you get pocket money or something?
>>
I'm NEET and living from savings. It's not something you really want to do but it's not bad. I don't know why there's such a heavy stigma.
>>
>>25020797
How long do you reckon you can last on the savings? And do you apply for jobs and courses etc regularly?
>>
>>25020797

If NEETs went somewhere away from society and didn't drain tax dollars people wouldn't care.

This would be relevant if any of these fuckboy losers actually had welfare. Confront them about it, like posting proof, they dodge the issue everytime
>>
Being neet is pretty boring. Getting a job would probably be pretty difficult because I never finished high school.
>>
>>25021144
Why not? And why not go back and finish it now?
>>
>>25021144
You could get a GED in a couple of hours and most employers lump GED/Diplomas together on applications. If that's the basal educational requirement, the type doesn't matter.

The truth is there's no real happiness in being a wagecuck or a NEET.

I've been wagecucking for about five years now. I don't hate my job, but I do hate having to wake up at 5:30 in the morning five days a week. The biggest motivation I have for working is being able to live comfortably and buy the things I want. It's worth the 40-hour-a-week grind, if barely, so I continue to put up with it. But there are certainly days, particularly Mondays, where I can't help but feel a bit jealous of NEETs.

On the other hand, having all the free time in the world as a NEET is great in certain ways, but intense boredom sets in really fast. Plus, there's the shame of being a worthless leech. When there have been periods in my life where I wasn't working, I was pounding the pavement trying to find a job. NEETdom wears on your soul.

Probably the only way to be truly happy in life is to be your own boss and work as you see fit. I'd like to get to that point eventually -- I just have to figure out how.
>>
>>25021459
Thanks for sharing man, though I don't know why anyone would have to wake up at 5:30am to work, I wake up at 7am
>>
i'm a neet and i just simply can't deal with society and all the bullshit that modern life is, either i'm crazy or there is just something inherently wrong with it, everything just feels wrong.

not proud of being a neet at all.
>>
>>25021459
I've found working from home to be a good middle ground.

It's not a ton of money, but I live in the south and the job market down here means every "real" job entails answering to some dipshit 40 year old redneck who never made it out of retail.
>>
>>25021550
I'm a teachercuck. My days are from 7-3.
>>
I'm neet because I earn more by doing nothing and don't want to sell magazines over phone.

>imblying there are jobs for people without education

If you're not hardworking and clever, you can't compete in modern world.
>>
>>25020940
>Confront them about it, like posting proof, they dodge the issue everytime
you think someone is going to post government documents online to prove to you they get welfare?
>>
>>25021598
Sucks man, u was gonna be a teacher but changed my mind. Thank fuck for that. Still you must enjoy helping kids?
>>
>>25021215
I'm 20, so I couldn't go back to high school if I wanted to I am pretty sure.
>>25021252
It does coat money, though.
>>
>>25021626
How do you earn more if you're NEET? By definition you don't earn anything?
>>
>>25021645
I do, and the pay's good enough for me as a single guy.

Having two months off in the summer and still getting paid is pretty nice too. I can live the NEET lifestyle for a decent chunk of the year without having to feel worthless.

When you're a NEET there isn't anything left to be proud of.
>>
>>25021738
So you're a drain on society? Good for you
>>
>>25021636
It literally takes a minute to take a cell phone picture and black out the sensitive info in paint
>>
>>25021746
There are things like nation, home, religion and family.
>>25021779
Like everybody else does. I'll go study when they accept me into a school.

sieg heil
>>
>>25021558

What is so wrong with modern life? Living in a air conditioned/heated house with TV and Internet and easy ways to communicate with people that matter to you seems pretty awesome compared to what other things in nature have to deal with.
>>
>>25021801
But if you don't contribute to your nation and your home, and don't bring in money for your family how can you have any claim of pride to these things if you did not build even the smallest peice of it
>>
>>25021801
>nation, home, religion and family.
NEET has none of these. NEET is a failure at life, so they are a failure at having a nation, home, religion, and family.

NEET life is suffering.
>>
>>25021797
And what do I earn by proving it to some loser anon?
>>
I live with my parents. I'm alone at home most of the time, though. Earning money without having to work is easy when you have free time, my dad gives me some money but I earn most on my own. Since I dont have to pay for anything but shit I need I hardly ever lack money. It's pretty awesome.
>>
As a NEET all the time is free time.
Why wouldn't you want to be NEET?

If I could live like that forever I would.
>>
>>25022004
I can come up with two things that are ruining my NEET experience.
>the stress of having bad sleep rhythm
>women I'm trying to sleep with don't like me being lazy loser
>>
>be me college student and wagekek
>school was hard so dropped work
>first semester ending soon
>I failed miserably and couldn't keep up
>it was fucking shitty
>Decide I am going to be a NEET for a while to think things through
>Or might as well be NEET for life
>Parents already thought I was a degenerate beforehand so I have nothing to lose.
>fuck life
>>
>>25022075
>women I'm trying to sleep with
you shouldn't be here
>>
>>25022075
Why is bad sleeping rythm stressing you out? It's not like you have anywhere to be.

Being a lazy loser is on you, it has nothing to do with being NEET really.
>>
>>25022160

Not that anon but fucking up your circadian rhythm can stress you out and make depression worse.
>>
>>25020856
I'm still paying taxes though, so nobody should have an issue. Anyway, if that's the point then you should all be rallying for legal voluntary euthanasia.

>>25020852
Probably 6 more months at the most. I haven't even tried to apply for jobs, but luckily I have affluent family who offered to help me and employ me in their business.
>>
>>25022004
It seems wonderful from the perspective of those that are wagecucking and so but its really a trap without moderation. Without the work you put in all that NEET freedom will eat at you.
>>
>>25021833
>easy ways to communicate with people
>EASY WAYS
>TO COMMUNICATE
>WITH PEOPLE
Do you even read yourself, oh wait.... Now you get it.
>>
>>25020739
I live at home with my parents, I'm a wageslave but I don't make enough to move out in this economy, nor do I know enough yet to get another job somewhere where housing is cheap enough.
>>
>>25022330
I'm having a decent time with it. The only problem is the way other people treat you for being unemployed for a few months. It's really fucked up and depressing.

I know the NEET vs wagekek stuff is just memes, but I actually read and go to the gym and make art and music. I don't think I could ever get bored.
>>
>>25022338

So you don't like talking with people? Why are you here then?
>>
>>25022330
I can't say I've ever been bothered by the freedom of not having anywhere I have to be or something I have to do.
The only thing that really bothered me when I was NEET was the fact that I would eventually run out of money and my parents would eventually lose patience with me if I lived with them doing nothing.

Every worry of mine would dissapear if I had lots of money, if I had that I would happily NEET my life away.
>>

Anyway my point is that even IF we have the means to communicate all over the world, the quality of communication and the General Public Discourse Quality (TM) have been dropping so fast it's hilarious.

You can scream from the top of your lungs or flood the internet with whatever you want to say but no one will really listen/read.
>>
>>25021678
nigga I'm 20 and just got my GED, took a month or so to get. only 15 bucks for the tests if you use the voucher that they plaster on their website.

>>
Not proud of it, I was unhappy with my university so I dropped out. Not as big of a deal as it is in the US.

I've never worked a day in my life. I dropped out of school at 16 years old and spent four years as a NEET.

I'm free to pursue intellectualism
I'm free to think, debate, learn, and create
I can sleep and eat whenever I want.
I am not stressed from quotas or promotions
I can learn to live without material possessions, thus achieving a higher state of meaning
I do not live for anyone but myself
I don't have to deal with co-workers, bosses, student debt, or homework

I am a NEET. I am everything you want to be. Every wagekuk on the planet is trying to be me through retirement, saving, and investment. I am ahead of the curve. I am the final form of mankind.

I was rarely bored as a NEET. It wasn't until I started feeling guilty being a leech that I decided to start trying to support myself.

Remember NEET and shut-in isn't the same thing, you can pursue interests, have hobbies, have a social life and enjoy life fully even if you don't work or study.
>>
>>25023183
So you don't have any interests?
>>
>>25023155

>>
>>25023289

>>
>>25020739
>Can someone explain why you would want to be NEET?
I don't want to be, but I am due to circumstances, basically. I'm unable to get a job, I have no money right now, no car, no license. To even get the money to move out, I'd need to get a job and work for at least 3 years or so.

NEETs are the lowest non-instituanilized rung of society.

>>
>>25023416

Like the very first poster, I am also NEET and live on my own savings. I'm past thirty, and have a vague sensibility of not wanting to leech off of others (which is a latent cultural attitude perhaps incongruent with historical conceptions of the welfare state, but never mind this right now).

But OP, I want to share with you, a deeper personal view.

It goes like this. At no time in my life, have I ever really held work as some sort of end-in-itself. The protestant work ethic, as it has expressed itself in American society (and consequently throughout the rest of the world with respect to conceptions of status, economics etc) commands some form of employment as a means of self-actualization.

More, even serious sociologists such as Charles Murray are onto the things I'm touching on above. He personally favors a protestant-work-ethic value system, but even he admits that the guy who works for $12/hr or whatever is in a sense a "chump" (his literal word) relative to the NEET-teater. This very serious person actually cops to the wagecuck meme, and I encourage all /r9k/ to look up CHARLES MURRAY and his work.

This has roughly always been my conception of work. The concept. The basic human reality: Work is a thing to be escaped, at the earliest possible convenience. It is a thing to be thrown under the bus, whether by lottery, extra-hard labor in the first part of one's life, etc. It is contemptible. Work is something to be overcome, and (properly) does not confer status. "I work job X". Great, you're going to die in a few decades just like me.

The protestant worth ethic has a disgusting masochism to it. I have lived well over a year without participating in it, although I shall be obliged to do so again soon, unfortunately.

There is a lyric which accurately states the proper attitude toward work: " Where they hung the jerk / that invented work / in the Big Rock Candy Mountain " If this were not true, then why do we seek to escape work?

My parents and my two aunts and my uncle pay me to live and care for my grandfather
He had a stroke and needs help to get around, all the basics
Everybody hates him, he abused the shit out of my grandma, so bad she killed herself when I was really little, every other word out of his mouth is nigger or jew, so we get along great
His house has my name on it too, I will inherit all his stuff, he is 75 and I am 22
Even take him hunting on his quad, I shot the deer, he finished him off, set up a feeding spot, easy as pie
His money pays for all the food, utilities and gas then I get 500 a month from each of his kids and the state pays me to be his companion, I had to take a class on first aid, CPR and how to care for old people, I put everything I am paid in the bank, so I will not have to work when he dies
He told me he is gonna start getting a bunch of credit cards, so we can run them all up and when he dies I can tell the banker Jews to fuck themselves
He is a great guy and I would stay with him for free, but I will take the money too
Only problem is he hates drugs, booze and keeps the house so hot it's like we are in an oven, gotta give a little to have it easy
