This. Normies aren't reading anything like the Mars Trilogy, Revelation Space, any of Heinlein's works, Clarke's, or Asimov's. The closest they might get is by reading Dune but they then do nothing but scream "HE WHO OWNS THE SPICE OWNS THE UNIVERSE LMAO I'M SUCH A GEEK!" after.
It's for the best that we keep Star Trek and Star Wars as containment works so that they don't destroy any other franchises.
