I guess robots need a database to learn from, but really the upvote hivemind hellhole? Aren't there at least 3 other AI programs well under way? Also, AI is only necessary if we aim to create a new sapient species. Then you don't have to put AI in the majority of robots that run the world. If they can't philosophize about their place in relation to humans, then they won't rebel. Even actual AIs should simply have "love of humans" hard-coded into them.
AI is science fiction. Never going to happen. The shit being researched is not even remotely close to real AI.

What about a digital human brain?
Thinking that we can emulate consciousness without even knowing what it is or being able to measure it is naive at best. Even if we created it, we'd never know it ala Searle's Chinese Room.
Also, Moore's Law has slowed down and will stop by 5nm. The 10nm iteration has already been stalled as Intel struggles to go through one more shrink.

Well, what else were they going to use as a database for enforced good behaviour? 4Chan? Wikipedia? TVTropes? The Gutenberg Project?
Reddit has some less publically acceptable stuff too. TRP, /r/4chan, GreatApes, the 20 fatpeoplehate subs that spawned after Chairman Pao,... And all the porn subs.
Am I the only one who thinks that our corporeal existence is at it's limit. Think about it, we are at a evolutionary state where we are acting more like viruses then mammals. We have produced so much with a low intelligence, that it looks like we have regressed into acting like the one celled organisms we evloled from. However, one can say we always acted like a virus. Anyways, we to become more powerful, we need to use our tools differently. We need to use our tool as more efficient extensions of our inner being. To accelerate brain functions then putting our resources into pleasuring it by playing games and watching porn. I would rather have more information then a few hours of pleasure.
Am I the only one that feels like this, is there a place on the internet, I can go to with people, with the same vision.
I want to evole everyday even if there's a risk of being taken over by machines.
