anyone else think they sound weird? recently recorded myself singing a song and it sounded strange, i don't hear myself as i did in the recording.

Yeah my voice is nasally as fuck, it's this bizarre combination of deep and whiny and it makes me sound like a complete fag.
that's because you don't hear your voice really, but the reverberations of it inside your skull. so it ends up deeper and more layered because you're hearing it echoed dozens of times as it bounces around in your head.
Over the phone or on a recording I just sound kind of annoying.

The third one can be really uncomfortable because it's not what you're used to hearing.
