How do I know when my weed has gone bad? Can it affect my health seriously if I smoke it after its gone bad?

seriously, your guy could have put anything in there. but assuming it is actually weed, as long as you store it in a sealed jar and keep that in a dark, cool place, it can keep for years

Mine was rolled in a joint and sealed in an airtight container that came with it. I think I could have kept it there forever without it going bad.
Well maybe not forever, but a long time for sure. I'm sure it'll go bad if you keep it in a moist, open place but why would anyone do that.

this is probably bate, but no, it does not go bad. similarly to tea it dries out and loses potency from particles getting too dry and falling off.
As long as you didn't leave it somewhere that moisture could have gotten into it, it will be totally fine. Just dry, and harsh to smoke

This man speaks the truth. I did a grow 2 years ago. Got mason jars full, cured it properly, then sealed it for the long haul.
The flavor has suffered a bit, but the effects have not.
