PROLOGUE
My journey into the wonderful and exciting life of NEETdom began with a chance encounter of fate that I'll never forget. Serendipity had big plans for me.
They say lightning never strikes the same place twice. Well, I was there for the third bolt.
Where was I? Oh right.
At the time, I was but a lowly peasant taking orders from the big guys upstairs. You know the guys. Spiffy suits, always have that wide smile on their faces showcasing their pearly white teeth. Every day, they'd walk into the office ready to make some poor bastard from the lower floor shake in his bootstraps. Ruthless motherfuckers.
They were the top dogs in the building, and everyone knew it. No one ever dared to mess with a tie. They'd be kissing their ass goodbye so fast the security guard would tackle them to the floor before they even got their pink slip.
Yeah, the white collars.
I hated them with every fiber of my being.
