The nice parts were nicer though.
The trash didn't climb its way out of the gutter until the 50s and 60s.
>tfw you were born
Why? For what purpose? Why was I put here to suffer?
>>24985532
the nice parts were where the rich people lived
everyone else lived in shit dens with rats crawling up their dick hole every night
who else /gatsby/ here

I thought it peaked in shittiness back in the 70's and 80's
thats 1938 NY; look at the sign on the right

Actually you could walk through Harlem with no fear of being robbed.
>people from all neighborhoods would leave their doors open so the neighbors could come in and use the radio if they didn't have one

No one in the shitty parts was white.

20s is too far back for me to want to live in NYC. It would have to be from the '50s onward.

It's obviously a time traveler from the 20's who went forward to visit New York in the late 30's.

It'd be cosy to have a robot movie night were we watch silent films together.

>le NYC is bad maymay!!!1!!11!1!1
1965 through 1995 was pretty bad for NYC. The vast majority of the city has turned itself around in the past two decades however. The white percentage of residents has actually gone up for Manhattan in the past 15 years.
Historical photos put me in such a state.
