/tv/, pleas go.

I'll humor you. What's the difference?
>>
Any movie made by "The asylum".
>>
>>24978747
There is none, it's a meme that some people take too far like this guy.
>>
Archie's Final Project
>>
Pulp Fiction. I don't care if you watched it before, watch it again.

I watched it last month and now I can finally talk with my brother about something we both care about when he's not on drugs like the fuck up he is.

Films - Brain
Cinema - Heart
Movies - Popcorn
Flicks - Shit

I'm not going to write out a massive post spelling the differences out for you.

>>24978765
It's not a meme though, it's something professionals in the industry have long since agreed upon.
>>
>clerks
shit
>enter the void
shit
>taxi driver
extremely overrated shit
>drive
its very good in terms of cinematography, sound design, and lighting, but the plot is very just sort of phoned in and i really fucking hate gosling as an actor, but the rest of the movie is so technically great it doesn't really matter
>nightcrawler
sort of the same as above but the plot was a lot better in my opinion and gyllenhaal is actually a good actor. one of the best movies of 2014

are you perhaps a really edgy teenager who thinks he is into movies but actually just started seriously taking an interest in films in the past two months?

i really really really want to go see krampus, i've heard nothing but good things about it, but i don't want to go see a christmas movie alone.

pan's labyrinth is my favorite movie ever and its an amazing, almost perfect fantasy film. very atmospheric, and has some of the best characters i've ever seen in film. it is in spanish though, idk if you like reading subtitles or not, but i can basically speak spanish so its not a problem for me.

inside out was an amazing movie, even though its a kids/family movie, and i rarely enjoy those.

ex machina was a really good movie but its suuuuuuuuper slow paced and i know a lot of people have trouble staying interested in films like that.

spotlight was a really great movie, but very procedural, again another thing a lot of people don't like/get bored by.

Alright bruh, I'll tell you some of my favourites, fuccboi on here please judge my non patrician taste

>full metal jacket
>paths of glory
>all quiet on the western front
>two hands (isn't great, just very relatable)
>Resivoir dogs (love what got produced on a shoe string budget)

>>
>>24978844
the wire is really really interesting but a good half of the movie turns into like some disney inspirational shit and makes all the characters seem fake and fairy tale-ish, but still a good watch.

you should also look up these movies from last year that i'm too tired to summarize for you:
>grand budapest hotel
>whiplash
>gone girl
>birdman (i didn't really get it, but its cinematography is great)
>edge of tomorrow
>the babadook
>foxcatcher (ungrateful apeposting was a way better meme than sheevposting or baneposting)
>the guest
>john wick

oh also i forgot to mention some korean films. most of these are crime movies, so if you are into that, check these out:
>the chaser
>the host
>snowpiercer
>memories of murder
>the man from nowhere
>a tale of two sisters
>audition (japanese but whatever)
>i saw the devil
>oldboy (obviously)
>mother
>13 assassins (again japanese but whatever)

>>24978870
>edgy teenagers liking a whimsical fantasy film

what? edgy kids like stuff like taxi driver and no country for old men and old johnny depp stuff.
>>
>>24978944
>the wire
i meant the walk, holy shit im tired
>>
>>24978944
Johns wick was shit, both me and you know it. The only thing that redeemed tnst movie was the night club shooting scene
>>
>>24978844
>are you perhaps a really edgy teenager who thinks he is into movies but actually just started seriously taking an interest in films in the past two months?
Tone that ego down a bit, anon. No, i'm just stuck at home due to a recent injury. I don't watch movies much at all.
>>
>>24978973
idk, i actually liked john wick a lot. im super excited for john wick 2.

but yeah that was by far the best scene in the movie.

>>24979000
sorry, like half the movies you listed are movies that people who don't actually watch movies tell people are their favorites so it seems like they do watch movies.

but yeah google everything i have listed in that post and >>24978944 and pick one. i think almost all of them should be on tpb or something at this point.

when the music changed from that weird like synth pop song to that huge dubstep drop, and you can see they intentionally make each step he takes super heavy like it could shake the ground as he's chasing after whatever the russian son's name was, that was like the best "holy shit this is fuckin awesome" moment in the whole movie.
