Howdy, wagekeks. While you are on here instead of sleeping, I'm mastering the /quantum physics/ and testing out century year old theories that have been practiced by the greatest physicists and philosophers. Don't mind the hat, just wanted to try it on. Us NEETS are the ultimate /scholars/

All you wagekeks fail to understand his point. Plato, Aristotle et all. stated that you can't pursue wisdom and knowledge while being a wagekek. For them the ideal life was a life that you could philosophize and to do that you would need to be relatively wealth.

It think it was Cicero who said people who sell their labor were little different than slaves and the optimal job on earth was farming (ofc he did not meant farming by manual work, but owning huge parts of land and have your slaves work for it).

Not all "rich nobles" become neet philosophers. 19th century nobles were for most of the time just hunted foxes and then died, contributing nothing. But one should also remember people like Darwin or Newton who probably could not write their own works if they were not wealthy and well off.

Not saying all neets are or can be darwins, but being a neet is an excellent condition to become one. Imagine darwin being a wagekek working 10 hours a day to eat.
>>
>>24977455
Don't you see the picture? That's all the proof he needs. Obviously he's made millions on the advance payments of his memoirs.
>>
You can't meaningfully engage with these fields without training. Any attempt to do so as a neet is just a masturbatory fantasy.
>>
>>24977481
Dude you don't need to go to academia to discuss philosophy.
Literally just sitting on your ass for 40 years will brand you a philosopher.
>>
> not in employment education or training

You are not a real neet
>>
>>24977481
I actually know one semi-neet just like that. He thinks he's a lazy genius. He once read a book about string theory and thought that made him fully qualified to discuss it. Needless to say, he didn't understand shit when I asked him a few basics.

pathetic wagekeks

they managed to get into academia because they were rich, academic neetdom is still neetdom you filthy wagekek.

you think it is not? okay
Compare modern academics specifically STEM to them, most academicians today must research not the things they liked but the things that are funded, i.e. mostly corporate sponsored, i.e. where one can make profit.

A chemist pursue studies that can sadly give him grants and bring profits to the grant funder, not the studies he is passionate about.

If Darwin was a wagekek he would publish papers that would profit mining railroad etc companies, no company would ever pay him for his galapagos vacation, it would be seen as a waste.

Dariwn and Newton are not NEETs per se but they were deffinetly not Wagekeks, what is common between neets and darwin is the ability to pursue ones passion, without worrying about putting food into the table.
>>
>>24977503
You need it to have an full understanding of most philosophical works, and to be up to date with current philosophical trends.
>>24977508
I was like that in high school. Having read bit of philosophy, I acted like I seriously knew about the field. At that point my peers didn't know enough to call me out on it, but now that some of them have pursued the subject, my ignorance has come to light.
>>24977575

Look wagekuk, I know we've had our differences. I'm superior, you're inferior. Everyone knows this

But the point of the wagekek threads aren't to insult wageslaves. The point is to galvanize wagies to action. You should be building some sort of income to allow yourself to be a NEET. Everyone should be a NEET. It's a beautiful dream we all share.

Now sometimes I may exaggerate my own accomplishments as a NEET, but that's not the point. Being a NEET isn't easy, but it IS worth it. Some of us can come off as smug sometimes ( Not all NEETS are posting the same type of threads) In a way, Wagekeks have an advantage over NEETs. You can build your income right now, we can't.

Every NEET knows his life is transient. We will have to become wageslaves some day, but It's important that YOU don't become like us. YOU need to find a way to become a permanent NEET. If you don't, you'll just be a pathetic wageslave for the rest of your life. You will never taste the NEETdom. A permanent cuk forever.

>>
>>24977771
>he also wrote after his patronage ended
Yes. And before. My point was that Aristotle did indeed work.
While we're at it, Aristotle was also educated.
They had nothing like our education systems, but it's not like the ancients just crapped philosophy and profundity.
Also, scholars like Aristotle, Plato, Socrates (assuming he existed) relied on a system of political patronage in whatever polis they resided in. In return, they were expected to tutor and generally educate or discuss ideas with the nobility.
Or they were like Xenophon, who did other things as well as write.
>>
>>24977771

>Darwin was neither under work nor under education when he was going on his vacation
If I remember correctly, he was doing research. That is work.

>Secondly, my original point still stands, to pursue higher wisdom of Aristotle, of Plato of Darwin of Newton you must not be a wagekek by your filthy logic Plato was also not a NEET but he was.
I'm not sure if it's fair to compare modern society to ancient Greece. They had to have gotten their food doing something.

>You filthy wagekeks know you will never be a Darwin never become an Aristotle, at least NEETs thanks to their wealth have a chance no matter how small but a chance to become great to pursue greatness that is wisdom.
Can you name any recent figure (from the 20th century at the earliest) in philosophy or science that didn't have an academic background. You really can't engage with these fields without the proper training.

>You wagekeks will toil until you die no different than a athenian slave or a manchaster coalie who lived worked and died without leaving any mark on earth. No one will remember you and you will fade into obscurity
I'm not a wagekek. I am not competent enough to hold a job or succeed in an academic setting and will probably starve to death when food is no longer provided for me.
