THAT'S what makes reality worth living. people have choice, and they can use that power to be compassionate to others.

It really fucking doesn't. The episodes are filled it annoyingly placed pauses and constant silence. Its like they were just trying to fill up 22 minutes. The action (by today's standards) is slow as hell. Its only 26 episodes, but each episode feels like an entire age has passed.

I disagree, the Angels are all varied which keeps things interesting. I always wanted to know what the next Angel would do and how they would beat it. Plus almost every episode has something that reveals things about the individual characters like Shinji running away or Misato getting drunk.
