I find it amazing how fast these change and, more importantly how fucking quickly I forget what used to be the 'standard'.
4chan has gone through so fucking many flavour of the month(s) insults and every time I think "well I can't possibly forget this one seeing how it's been fucking everywhere since forever now" and then every time it's gone and I forget it was ever popular.

I think KEK is still a very good meme to use. It seems to be riding an all time high in December probably due to the school semester ending and winter break, so I'd wait until the pullback expected in July to really start using this dank meme hard to get ahead of the trend and to really look cool when it's expected to reach its new all time high next December.
SENPAI seems to be in a sideways channel pattern for the last 10+ years, there has been a small increase in usage over the last few months due to 4chan, but i wouldn't start using it too heavily unless a clear breakout can be identified or you're talking to a nigger.
