Winter is almost here. Let's talk about the best season.
Winter can be comfy, but I prefer seasons in which I can go hiking without freezing my ass off.
When I was a kid, I used to hate winter. Too cold, you couldn't go outside with friends without bundling up, and you had to stay inside more often.
As I've grown up and gotten more lonely, I've become a lot more fond of winter. It's very peaceful. Everything is quiet, there's no kids screaming outside, no bugs, you're not sweaty, you can just sit inside under a blanket and watch the snow fall, or put on a coat and just go for a walk alone. Sorry if this post is gay as shit but I really like winter.

I feel the exact same way about winter. It somehow manages to make everything look way more beautiful, especially during heavy wind and snow. A wintry forest is god tier for a relaxing walk.

Okay, so we're talking about summer.
I love how warm it is. Cold weather is just terrible, and I love basking in the heat with a cold beer on a hot summer day.
I love firing up the smoker almost every weekend.
I love swimming.
I love getting drunk and blowing shit up on the 4th of July.
I love doing 3 or 4 hours of yard work in the heat and getting all hot and sweaty, then jumping in a nice cool shower. Most refreshing feeling ever.
I love cooking 80% of my meals on the grill.
I love sitting on the deck in the evening watching a big storm roll in. The smell of the rain, the lightning flashing up in the clouds, and the distant rumble of thunder.
I love spending a week up in a cabin on Lake Michigan. Hiking Sleeping Bear Dunes. Touring all the breweries and wineries in the Leelenau peninsula. Just sitting on the dock and watching the sunset.
Man I miss summer. Can't wait for next year.

Don't feel too bad. If you're in a relationship, at most the first Christmas or two will be romantic. After that they get pretty mundane and boring.
Winter is extremely depressing. I wish I could enjoy it.
