It all started about 10 years ago when I was 15. I have slowly changed my accent over time. At first it was very broad Scottish, now it's more like Sean Connery in the Bond movies without the SHH sound. Very pleased about that.
I never wear kilts at weddings or ceremonies. Never. It's a fucking skirt you barbarians. I wear suits. Always.
Sometimes I forget, get complacent and resort back to my Scottish ways. Especially when drinking. Sometimes my accent really comes out and I feel embarrassed as fuck.

We've already lost a lot of ethnic cultures in Britain and we're on the way too. Eventually the larger ones will become generic as well, people in cities who are outside of folk cultures tend to be pretty similar everywhere. And mass immigration (a consequence of globalisation and internationalism) is more threatening still.
