The town I live in has had sediment water for the past thirty years. Feels and tastes like there's tiny amounts of sand in it. If I brush my teeth with it they'll yellow up and get gross. If I don't then they'll get plaque and get gross. I already have some plaque on my bottom front teeth because my teeth hurt after brushing with the rock water.
I'm completely screwed either way.

I hadn't gone to the dentist in a while. Finally went last month, was about $300 for X-rays and cleaning. It went fine and I've decided to go every 6 months from now on.
I also decided to get my front teeth fixed (I had a piercing that chipped them a bit) which cost over $2000 to fix but it looks great.
Take care of your teeth and go at least once a year to the dentist. If you lose your teeth or treat them like shit they'll be worn back and rotten at age 40.

My advice to everyone: eat cinnamon. Cinnamon fights the bacteria that causes cavities and encourages your teeth to repair themselves to a certain extent. Also eat cheese, drink milk, and do other things to promote good oral flora
