Does LSD like loose its magic or something after a few trips? First 3 trips I had were actually trippy, I saw really vivid visuals, trippy thoughts and feelings of revelations. My 2 trips after that have just felt weird. Like I'm on a boarder of tripping and sobriety and it's hard for me to tell the difference. That's true for sure. I did climb the dose my 2nd and best time (with mdma). Dissassocistives lost their magic eventually, but gave me many great trips. The best of which was like my 30-somethingeth trip. I don't really ever get high any more though. Drugs would be great if they had less side effects. OP here, If you've done other classical psychedelics then it's comparable to them in terms of "strength" (obviously dose dependent) however it can feel a lot more intense than mushrooms, and be a lot more debilitating than acid.
The only real way I can describe it will be vague, analogous and won't make much sense unless you're done other psychedelics.

In the UK and I'm pretty sure the US you can legally buy peyote cactus, it would just be very expensive to get the amount you need. You can get buttons on darkmarkets but you still need to make them into disgusting cactus slime so imo it's better to just buy Mescaline HCl from a darkmarket.

Ketamine is similar to DXM yet feels a lot "cleaner" and with less of a bodyload, at higher doses it also becomes much more psychedelic and colorful than DXM. Tolerance breaks are always good to take if you feel like you're smoking too much weed to get high.
I personally have smoked on and off for ten years. I've been a 'smoke weed errday' stoner, and now just smoke casually. It never effected my motivation the way that drinking did/does. But some people find that weed inhibits them from getting shit done.
My advice is, stick to smoking in the evening. Wake'n'bake on lazy Sundays when you don't have to do anything important.
Just employ self awareness. It's bad if you're putting shit off all the time, underachieving, or not developing your interests because you'd rather get stoned.
There's also some evidence that you can screw up your REM cycle if you smoke before bed every night. So if you find yourself feeling fatigued all the time, limit yourself to smoking two to three hours before bed at the very latest. It's not good to wake up feeling unrested and have to prop yourself up with caffeine all the time. Your brain needs its reset period.
Bottom line is listen to your body and do what you think is sensible. It's only goddamn pot, it's not going to ruin your life.
