I've experienced this. It's just another symptom of a hangover for me at this point, it was a lot worse in the past though before I began taking measures against it. Few key things I've done to reduce it
>Don't go out drinking, only drink at home preferably alone or with only one or two very close friends. You risk doing or saying something stupid when outside drunk and this will play on your mind the next day making your anxiety 10x worse.
>Avoid communications. Even though you are at home you still have your phone and social media so be disciplined and don't fucking touch them. Again if you wake up to find a bunch of texts or messages to people saying stupid shit it is going to drive you anxiety through the roof. If you need to talk just do it here anonymously
>Don't do anything stupid. Don't put a pizza in the oven and fall asleep, don't throw up somewhere you're not supposed to, don't leave the bath running and flood the house, avoid doing stupid shit. Again you need to be disciplined as yo're going to be drink so make this a rule of principle. Waking up to have your mum show you the cremated remains of the tendies you left in the oven last night is not going to be good for you.
This won't cure it but once you've got all these tips down it will be massively reduced and you can then treat it like a hangover symptom.

All the basics. Then try to do something. Anything. Play vidya, take your dog for a walk if that is your thing, anything to distract your brain for a few hours. In that case I recommend a week indoors with the curtains drawn pretending you are a super villain.

The story isn't deep and definitely doesn't try to be deep, it's literally "The Power of Friendship: The Game", at least on true pacifist. I don't feel the art is that lazy, just limited due to the people working on the game having limited options, I don't mind it and a lot of the characters can be pretty charming with the style they've gone for. Shit gameplay is subjective and I personally found it quite fun, challenging at times and left me feeling pretty good after getting past bosses or enemies. The fanbases that have formed are cancerous as fuck and that's why I'd rather not engage in them.

I let slip that my birthday was coming up, and when they inquired what I would be doing I said I would just be getting drunk. They believe I meant going out to a club or something and said thats what they do. I then corrected them and told them I would be drinking a bottle of whisky at home alone and trying to forget its my birthday.
