is travel just a normie meme?
>>
Yeah, why would you want you go to shithole countries?
I live in Australia. I've been travelling overseas heaps due to rich ass dad.

It's shit. Crappy old ruins of primitive shitskin civilizations in Asia and Europe is just a meme for faggots cus it's filled with shitskins and normies.

Middle East is trash for obvious reasons, so is South America and Africa.

USA is always gonna be shit.

Australia no. 1

Is enjoying submissive qts just a normie meme?
>>
>>24876985
You're retarded, but what else would I expect from a stupid fucking aussie. The average IQ over there is like 50
>>24876947
Travel is actually nice, but only if you do it right. Flying to places and then staying in a city and taking a bunch of pictures isn't really all that appealing. Most people don't have any other choice, obviously, but you aren't going to get much out of spending 48-72 hours in a new place.

Also, a lot of normies basically do the same thing they do back at home when they travel, drink and go to clubs.

The superior experience is actually living somewhere for a few years, which gives you time to adjust to the cultural differences and all that good shit.

I'm definitely fortunate to have had the opportunity.

Third World shitskins or normie faggots who wanna "go see Europe" after college confirmed

Literally, why the fuck would you want to travel to third world shit holes?
>>
>>24876947
Pretty much
Normals love talking about how much fun they had traveling and how everyone should up and do it with those thousands of dollars everyone just has laying around.

Also they seem to put a lot of emphasis on fucking the local girls. Apparently half the reason normies travel is to acquire new STDs to bring back to their homeland. The other half is just bragging in general and being able to pretend walking around a tourist district in some shithole makes them so cultured and refined.

Agreed. I love traveling to the brinks of civilization and enjoying the nature.
>>

No, that picture looks amazing, would love to visit and explore.

The best places on earth are nationals parks and forests. Very relaxing and takes you away from it all, and eases the mind and stress. To explore a forest and find a sweet waterfall, even a small one is a wonder.

This board could really do with that

literal subhuman

i spent $6000 to go sleep in a bed in a city on the other side of the planet and left the hotel 6 times to go do the most tourist thing possible hope you like listening to me talk about it nonstop for the next 6 months OMG you have to see the photos of food that i took xD
>>
I'm a robot and I want to travel more so it can't be that normie.

I think there is two types of people who do it

Group A
>The people who travel because it's a hip thing to do, and they can get some great instagram photos out of it. They never try to actually experiance the culture besides the tourist traps
Middle aged Asians are the worst offenders of this. I've been at some tourist attractions where they would run up, snap 10 photos, then sit back on the bus talking to their friends for the rest of it. Why even bother?

And group B
>People who travel solely for the sake of expanding their world view through the glasses of a different culture

It's something normies actually have got right. Seeing nature around the world is genuinely one of the greatest pleasures life offers. Pictures don't do it justice

No I speak for pretty much everyone when I say we don't care about the hand carved traditional instrument you bought for $60 that was actually made in China or about the street vendor food littered with maggot eggs you ate and we especially don't care to see 280 pictures of you standing in front of things looking like a retard.

Normals are scum but some are worse than others

>crowded airports with long lines and rude-as-fuck staff
>in a cramped airplane for hours with a bathroom the size of a coffin
>think "i'm gonna die" every time you hit turbulence
>get to destination and have to lug around 50lbs of luggage
>people may or may not speak English depending on where you go
>have to shit in toilets that are unfamiliar to you and often more unsanitary than ones you find back home
>most of of the normie indigenous population is just trying to go through the daily rote and see you as an interference
>only have a finite amount of time, so how to plan everything in advance and stick to a strict schedule to "experience" all traveling has to offer
>end up returning with even more shit than you left with
>dead tired by the time you get home, yet the next day you have to return to work

Yeah, traveling is shit. My idea of a vacation is basically living the NEET life for a week until I have to go back to being a pseudo-normie.

I know nobody gives a shit about any of that. Only attention-seeking Chads and Stacies travel solely to experience touristy shit for instagram likes.

I know you're bitter about how your debilitating social anxiety prevents you from having any meaningful experiences outside your own home. I was the same way too.
>>
>>24877232
You're an even worse tryhard kind that tells people how you went backpacking in europe to "find yourself."
>>

I don't tell people about my travels unless they ask. I agree, it makes you sound like a yuppie bitch.
>>

>>
>>24876947

'travelling' is a normie meme.

Having an interest in a specific thing or place then visiting is fine, but just 'travelling for the sake of it' is a normal meme.

'Hurr Durr I saw more countries than you'

Ok, so you saw Uzbekistan Turkmenistan, Kyrgzstan and Tajikstan, I'm sure that was thrilling.
>>
>>24877327
Not him, but biking through rural Korea at night while listening to music was definitely one of the high points of my life. Just passing all the farms and looking at the mountains in the distance was dope as fuck.

I'm originally from a giant city with no nature at all, and the idea of going outside and being able to enjoy darkness or seclusion were both entirely foreign to my life until I moved to Asia.
>>

>>
>>24876947
I think traveling around your own country is based. It's good to see what your country has to offer, and it's also really exciting to see the rural back country. Hike some mountains and whatnot.

Traveling to OTHER countries is kek shit. I've done it, and I'm ashamed. It's fucking gay. I hate every country I go to. When I come back to the U.S., I am 300% more patriotic than when I left.

Croat here 25.
Most of my life I didnt go anywhere beside over border to Hungary with parents to buy groceries.
All of a sudden last year I got to travel and live all over Italy, Germany ,France,Spain... and really I was hopping I would experience everything that people were Bloating about. WOW IT WAS SO GREAT HERE AND THERE WOW BEST BEST...

Then I realizes its same shit as everywhere, everywhere people eat, do, work same shit.
People are same everywhere, they gossip, they are curious, they lie... I didnt found anything so "miracules" in these architectures or buildings as I hoped for, some of them are really nice but its 5 second feeling.

I think people just over exagurate experience for others to feel jelous or just to hide dissapointment in that travel experience..

Its huge lost of money, I would only see it as good think if someone is on mission to fuck a lot of girls...
>>
Jesus christ you pretentious fucks some people just like going someplace warm and relax at the blue beaches.

>muh crouching next to starving niggers and asking them about their culture
Get over yourselves

You people are fairly retarded. I've been to Greece dozens of times, Egypt, Turkey, Spain, France, Croatia (which was the best) etc. and i've always had an absolute blast. Being a hipster and going to areas in the country where no other tourists go is always fun, like Imbros.

People who enjoy "traveling" to tropical places are the absolute worst. Normies think it's "fun" to go to Florida/Bahamas/hawaii/virgin islands/Puerto Rico and other beachy places. There's nothing interesting or exciting about these places, and people with bad taste always find these places appealing.

It depends on what you like in life.
I like history. Being an American and seeing things like Notre Dame and Vatican City and Medieval walled, cobble-stoned cities of Germany held endless appeal to me. I grew up in California, I think one time growing up I was in a 100 year old house and it was a big deal. To see the stone work and architecture the same as it was hundreds of years ago was just endlessly fascinating to me.
Food. If you like food, especially if you're American, traveling can really give you an opportunity to taste new things. The best meal I ever had was in Sicily, and I hated Beer until I tried it in Germany and finally figured out what it was supposed to taste like. (to be fair the craft brewery thing hadn't taken off in the states when I was growing up, so I'd only tasted shit American beer).
If you like meeting new people, chatting people up in hostels or Fests who were brought up on the other side of the planet from you can be really interesting, they can introduce you to new music, or just mention things offhand that you'd never even thought about. Not to mention that locals in a strange land will find YOU more interesting as well.
Scenic beauty, every place has it's own!
There's also something about being a stranger in a strange land where you don't speak the language. It kind of clears your mind in a way I can't describe. Lets you be more alone with your own thoughts like you never have before. You're not susceptible to advertising or music or background chatter. Sometimes I think thats what people mean by "finding" themselves.
>>
I'm too busy with my porn addiction and video game backlog to even consider traveling. I also fear my stuff getting stolen whilst I'm away.
>>
I went to New Zealand and did a road trip from Auckland all the way to the bottom of the South Island.

Shit was like a personal Lord of the Rings. Travel isn't underrated.
>>
Why is it mainly women that want to go travelling? Especially why is it those who typically dress it up as a "learning experience" and a way to "find yourself"? Every single basic Betty has an Instagram full of travel quotes and generic travel photos like their holiday is the most important thing in the entire world. Most guys seem to realize it as a financial sacrifice which enables you to fuck around, get away from your wife/responsibilities and get loose.

How many different photos do we need of the Eiffel tower and shit? Is it even interesting, how many times are we meant to hear "omg the food and culture and stuff was like soooooooooo goood" while nodding completely uninterested giving them the idea that their trip was actually meaningful. What annoys me most is that most normies just go to the most absolutely generic, touristy places that everyone has visited a thousand times before. What's even the point where in most western countries the only difference is that the people speak a different language? Even in shitholes you'll still see people with iPhones, Levi jeans and whatnot - The joys of living in a globalized world.

I think the whole travelling "meme" if you want to call it that which you largely see on social media is just pushed by the tourism industry hugely.

yes I am bitter I spent $20k of my wageslave savings on a holiday and it wasnt like the movies

Normies travel differently.

I've been on IRL adventures abroad, normies just hostel hop, bar crawl and get selfies while on tourist tours.

I never understood tourism. My parents keep wasting shitload of money every year to visit sandnigger places and dip themselves in the ocean.
Pour some fucking salt in your bathtub, here's your ocean, its free
