Oh, it's quite a miserable little job. I sit in a desk (at least I have my own office), and do menial tasks: mostly, I enter numbers into an Excel spreadsheet. I did, once. It happened in the 12th grade. I went to a boarding school for my last two years of high school. We were both on an academic competition team, I the captain, she the alternate captain. Spending a lot of time together in classes and tournaments brought us very close, then one day she asked me if I liked her. I told her yes, and asked if she liked me. My social life has been getting worse and worse for the past few years, and it didn't start very well to begin with. I only have 1 actual friend right now, which might be more than some of you, but I'm really worried that it won't stay that way for long. We barely time with each other anymore, she never texts me first (inb4 ">being friends with a woman", "kek", " beta orbiter", etc), and I'm wondering if she's just avoiding me because she can't put up with my shit anymore but trying to be somewhat discreet about it because she feels sorry for me and knows that without her, I don't have anyone. While I like to consider myself a cyborg, she's honestly the only thing keeping me from being a full-blown, hopeless, suicidal robot who won't live long enough to gain wizard powers. Maybe I'm just being paranoid and shouldn't distrust her as much as I do because she always wanted to make me happy and still does, even though if it seems like a lot less than before.
