It's so much better than Bebop. Whereas Bebop has three shitty characters out of the cast of five main characters, all three of Champloo's MCs are unique and interesting.
I used to watch it way back when i was a wee lad and it came on toonami... just watched an episode or two, mostly for the fight scenes...
Now as a 21 y/o, I downloaded all 26 episodes and watched it from beginning to end... holy fuck. I can't believe how good it was.
