I dated all through college and the 5 years after, until I realized dating is a pointless endeavor and love doesn't exist. i'll never find someone who is able to put up with my shitty personality for the rest of their life or someone who I can stand for the rest of my life. And children are just money pits, so fuck that. now I've just finished my first semester at law school (1L, I'm 27.) and my parents called just to ask me about my personal life and chit-chat. My mother asked if I was seeing someone and I said no, I don't plan to date anymore. After a lengthy discussion about why I've chosen to just not date and why they want me to get married, my mother sounded audibly pissed off and hung up a short while later. I feel like a huge disappointment to my parents, and like I'm worthless to the species for not having kids. What do /r9k/?
just because you're not going to find a perfect soulmate doesn't mean you can't enjoy relationships for what they are while they last. It's better than being alone, I'd say. I'm with you on not wanting any kids though
