I should be thinking "Oh no!, I'm falling behind in life!" but at this point it's hopeless to try.
Mommy drives me when I don't take the bus, vibrations in the car kill me I can't even eat a carrot or open a beer bottle without vibration sickness fml
22 here, have a license and a Nissan Altima that I pay 300 a month for insurance. The joke is that I've never been in an accident.

25 now and have not driven since I learned to drive at 16. My parents pretty much drive me every where (not like I go out much). I also do not have a car.

24 with a total of 3 hours practice driving. Just simply no point. No car. I can easily do it but eh. Taking public transit is much more comfy; fuck parking and dealing with Bay Area rush hour traffic. I'm just going to read while someone else drives me.
I have a car, drive it every once in a while but I like walking places because parking in my city is a little difficult and I don't really mind walking. Live in the middle of downtown.

live in the city, you dont need one. nobody even questions it. ride a bike while youre there, and you might start to get healthy enough to get a girl

Got pilot's license though.
Little use for a car in a big city, though my fiance used to be an amateur rally driver, so I'm golden in this regard.

The location matters a lot. If he lives in the city it makes sense that he wouldn't have a car or a license. However if he's living in the suburbs and has his mom drive him everywhere, that's a huge red flag.
I have no car or driver's license and I would (and have) happily date a guy who was the same. My town has very good public transportation.
I have a car and a license, so I can provide rides and such, but I prefer someone who has their own vehicle

Eh, the amount of taxes in it isn't even that high. Most of it goes to the driving schools, who of course lobbied for more mandatory things to teach for decades.

i bought my first car for $1000 before i even had my license. 1988 camaro, broke down at least once a month. i went from not knowing shit about cars to being able to replace nearly everything by myself, because my parents never helped me with money for repairs.
sold that for double the price i bought it for last year and bought a 1994 jeep cherokee. it still breaks down way too much, but it's miles better than the camaro. right now it's got a busted alternator and power steering pump, so i'm walking until i can afford to get it fixed.
i grew up in one of the wealthiest areas in the country, and people never understood why i didn't get a brand new car on my 16th birthday, or why i was always walking and my parents didn't get my car fixed. felt bad, man.
