I never had bad acne growing up, but whenever I get a pimple it hurts a lot. For those with severe acne scarring and pock marks, was having that much acne like living in a world of pain?
Depends on the type of acne.
I had cystic and sometimes it hurt so fucking bad I wanted to cry. You'd get deep wells of oil beneath your cheeks or chin or whatever that'd get pinched when you moved your face or talked or smiled or whatever.

I had pretty bad acne from 13-18.
Yes, some of the deep ones would hurt like hell if you rubbed your nose or opened your mouth too wide.
I remember when it first got bad and my mother started messing with them the pain was making my eyes water and she got mad and called me a bitch. Stupid cunt probably never had actual real deep cyst acne.

This Cetaphil facial cleanser I recently started using has helped a lot but goddamn I wish pimples would just fuck off for good

I had acne for most of high school and still have a little. It was never really painful, except for a few cysts and a few pimples in sensitive spots like my nostrils.
My dermatologist told me last August that was just on the border of the Accutane train. He gave me some Epiduo skin cream and an antibiotic instead. So far it has severely reduced the amount of pimples and zits I get but I am terrified of the light scarring I have. I feel like I'm perma fucked for not having gone to the dermatologist earlier.

I used to get cysts that looked like something out of a horror movie. If I so much as brushed up against them with my fingers, they'd bruise and hurt terribly. To make matters worse, the bigger they'd get, the itchier. My mom and my doctor would berate me for lancing them at home, but I simply couldn't live like that.

The scaring is still pretty terrible, but my skin is still not cleared up enough to start chemical peel, so I soothe it with aloe gel and rose hip oil for now.

I know a guy who is pale but the redness fades in less than a week. On me, the redness takes 3 weeks, if not more....
I had acne for a while but it started clearing up junio year of highschool and pretty much clear by senior year. I'm now 23 and am 100% clean save for a random pimple once in a blue moon. I've seen some people in their late 20s with fucking awful acne and it makes me cringe.
