The kind of movies you'd call me a normie for liking
>>24844902
I like both of those, try to make me leave normie scum
Used to love asian romcoms and other romance shit. Watched them like crazy, but eventually steered towards stuff like Sion Sono's, Yoshihiro Nishimuras and all the great directors around those circles. One common trait I see in some of the movies, especially Sono's movies is that there love is almost always a cause of misery and quite often the cause of some over the top death scenes that are great to watch. Love is fucking terrible and I cant enjoy truly positive movies anymore.

I recently watched Tokyo Story and enjoyed it.
Good ones? Really though I like lots of different genres, it would probably be easier to list the stuff I DON'T like:
Superhero Movies
Romantic Comedies
Art Films
Buffalo 66 is my favorite film, a true master class in auteur film making.
Mostly psychological, although it got to the point I solve mysteries in a flash and can't enjoy them properly. I predicted the ending of Shutter Island before it went beyond 26 minutes mark or so.
I used to like shit like Scott Pilgrim vs the World, but now I prefer edgy crap like He was a quiet man, Drive, Falling Down, Nightcrawler, Edge of Tomorrow.
