Me and my single mom moved to a different country from our shithole a while ago (almost 8 years now). She married another man back then, that was our ticket in (mostly it was her ticket at first but she dragged me along after about half a year). So anyway, her husband died in January. My mom recovered a bit since then, but not completely. Holidays like Christmas makes her think of the better days, with him. Seeing all the happy people around isn't helpful as well. I could go visit her (we live about 500 km from each other now) but there is no point since it's basically me and her now (she doesn't want to join our friends for holidays because of the memories yet again). So she'll probably go travel somewhere and I'll go drown myself in sweet debauchery for a night.

Spending most of Christmas break here, shitposting- the prospect actually really excites me- I feel like I've neglected my internet shenanigans as of late.
Lots of family time as well, I dearly love my family.
