I think it's probably the cause, yes. I have some history of depression, took various types of pills for most of my high school years. While the side effects persisted until I stopped taking them, the main effect would disappear after about a month. I started feeling better once I got out of the teenage rut and my hormones balanced out, but I guess I've fallen back.
