I got a job a few months ago and it fucking sucks. I hate work so much. The hardest part is pretending to be happy and having to smile. I'm not happy. It takes a lot of energy to act like you're chipper when you're not. If I act glum the supervisors complain.

I want to quit and take a year off backpacking/hitch-hiking with the cash I've saved, but I think I will stay another year because it's a good set-up and I might not be able to come back to it.

Used to do exactly this when I was younger, doesn't work anymore though, and neither does walking up to an alarm I have to get out of bed to manually turn off- I just get right to napping because no energy to even shitpost. Also, this is rooted in experience, 5 years ago I had a full time job, and it very easily became a 50 hour week with extra days and overtime.
