>The Walt Disney Company EMEA has identified a new generation of digitally-aware children
>The group has been labelled Generation XD, the digitally aware children of Generation X, and comprises children who have never known a world without the internet and born between 1995 and 2001.

If you are 20 years old or younger, you are now part of the literal "cancer" generation.

Born in 1992 but I didn't have consistent access to the internet until 2005. I think that 1996 is a bit early to warrant a 'digital generation' I think the digital generation are those that grew up on tablets and social media. We had internet as a kid but it was hardly changing the world back then, it was pretty much good for shitty porn and Runescape.
>>
>>24836568
This, to be honest.
2000+ is the XD generation
1990-2000 is the " I just discovered hentai flash games on newgrounds" generation.
>>
>>24836568
If they were born in 1996 they're 6 years old in 2002 pretty fair to call them the digital generation.
>>
>>24836720
but even in 2002 the internet was still pretty much just flash games and hentai, the digital age didn't REALLY take hold culturally until like 2007-8 IMO.
>>
>>24836744
What how young are you?
>>
>>24836768
23, what were you doing on the internet on 2002?
>>
>>24836744
There was all kinds of shit going on even in the 90s. In many ways the web has regressed since the mid-00s.
>>
>>24837122
yeah, for web enthusiasts, we're talking about mainstream web use that affected culture in the west.
>>

>tfw you will never have a son and teach him basic shit like creating new folders and Microsoft paint
>tfw he will know more than you at only the age of 10
>>
>>24837159
It's actually just a myth that kids today are some kind of computer wizards. They are actually worse than people who grew up in the 80s and 90s.
>>
>>24837217
This, kids today understand basic tablet interfaces and that's it.
>>
What the fuck? I thought people from that period were millennials, cus they were born near the millennium. Then I was told i was part of some generation x or some shit, and now im being told by motherfuckin walt that im part of a generation named after his shitty tv channel? No thank you. I remember my time without the internet just fine.
>>
>>24836744
this desu, I remember that it wasn't until 2007 that using the Internet became as acceptable as it is now
