ITT: Books all NEET's should read
All of Hesse's work is like a must read for robots.
Fight Club I suppose.
>>24832415
I recommend this so much
No book better represents this shithole.

I've read Steppenwolf, and its about failed normie worshipping a pussy. Fuck off anon
This helped me through a lot of tough times. If I were less sleep deprived I'd analyze the complex themes. But all you need to know is, you are the little engine, and you can.
>>24832415
What's so good about it and why should NEETs read it? I have it on my e-book for god knows how long, but I always skip it, even though I don't know what it's about. I read and liked Norwegian Wood and 1Q84's first book.
>>24832451
I would say it's a must read for robots interested in spirituality and the like.
>>24832916
This.
>>24833073
This.
>>24833181
Thanks.
>>24833262
The train looks like a fucking mechanical Sisyphus on that cover.
kind of reddit bit if you're underage it's a good read
>>24833451
>if you're underage
that book is good if you're 13
>>24833480
It takes a truly world person to fully appreciate the messages in a mature way, only a neet is truly capable of appreciating Holdens struggle.
Or a Lit fag, but they dont live it themselves.
In any case, the messages are relevant to older people too
>>24833451
Actually this book isnt Reddit tier whatsoever, its good for robots in general
>>24833451
The guy who literally made plebeian/patrician dichotomy a meme on 4chan lists this as one of his favorite books.
>>24833665
pls provide a source 2 that statement
>>24833451
It's a great book. I related to Holden far more than I should have.
>>24832415
Anywhere I can download it in moon?

murakami is shit, hesse is uber shit.
just read camus, luis ferdinand celine from him just the voyage.
dostojevsky, proust, charles baudelaire and so on
>>24833819
>murakami is shit
He's not, but I see what you're saying.
Doubt there are many robots that interested in literature, otherwise they'd be on that board.
>>24833665
>!NhfK9up1rg
Not the same CLT.
>>24833888
>implying /lit/ actually discusses literature
If I'm gonna shitpost better do it on a board made for that purpose.
>>24834417
I've gotten some good recommendations there over the years
>>24834457
Yeah, eventually they discuss literature, but most of the time threads revolve around ChristianityIsCool/MarxismIsBad/ExistentialismAllDayEveryday.
I'm reading Murphy by Samuel Beckett
Avant-garde modernist fiction about a NEET whose oneitis wants him to get a job, so I think it'd be very fitting for /r9k/
>>24833073
The possesed / Demons is much better.
Platform by Michel Houellebecq.
It is in our relations with other people that we gain a sense of ourselves, it's that, pretty much, that makes relations with other people unbearable.
>>24832415
Please explain why. i have this book but i never felt like reading it.
This book here is at the same time doom and salvation of the Robot race
>people hating on salinger
Salinger is a great writer you plebs
>limiting it to individual books from the canon
If you're NEET you should have read the whole canon considering you have the time tbqh
>>24832415
I absolutely loved reading this book but I used to be like 17 when I was reading it.
I'm just weirded out by the cover. the german book cover had the eye close-up of a cat on it and that looked way nicer for a book cover than that generic stupid hipster cat silhouette.
can totally recommend it either way.
I like Murakami's other books too.
I read "the wind-up bird chronicle" and "after dark". they are really good.
>>24833441
>What's so good about it and why should NEETs read it?
basically a story about a teenager running away from home and going on a journey because he hates all the normalfaggotry around him.
there is also a 2nd protag who's somewhat weird, mentally challenged and possibly autistic. this book's totally up r9k's alley.
>>24836883
You forgot he fucks his mom
>>24836883
oh an also, the autist dude can make it rain frogs from the skies. dead give-away.
>>24836902
>forgot
I didn't "forget". I give out a short synopsis and spare the details intentionally because spoilers.
yall would prob like tao lin's shoplifting from american apparrel
>>24836931
Cmon we all knewed he wanted to fuck his mom. Not a huge spoiler
This masterpiece by Barnaby Bonobobutt.
>>24835597
Confederacy of Dunces for sure. Ignatius is the pre-internet robot.
>>24837112
Also, this, "28 Hues of Reeeeeee", written by Pepe himself, is recommended reading.
This one, and of course, "My Twisted World: The Story of Elliot Rodger" by Elliot Rodger.
>>24832415
Not a book, but Oyasumi Punpun is pretty good read, but it's really depressing.
Basically covers a 10 years span of how harsh and fucked up reality/life can be.
People with shit lives continue suffering
>Reading translated novels
Read it in the original language or don't fucking read it.
>>24832415
> having the motivation to finish a book
true robots watch tv
>>24838579
cause I'm sure you're well versed in every language..
fuck off faggot
